...and yes, I did see the letter in the latest Fuell that suggests the TT as a shorter Uly alternative...but no hardbags on the TT. Don't know if the taller parabellum shields fit the TT...etc etc. I'm thinking the right windshield, bar risers, and a bracket that would let you put the Uly bags on an 1125R would be great. |

Oh god not ABS please.... Worse way to destroy decent brakes from what I've experienced. Have owned a few BMW's with ABS and hated all of them, even to the extent of changing it out on one of them. Likewise my VFR, which is way better feel without it. I'd vote keep it all simple, maybe add a "S" model which has shorter geometry for those with wee pins? KTM do that I think. I'm sure that they can come up with a quieter fan too & factory standard right side scoop (unless there really is some reason that RSS is not a good idea...). |

- 6 speed tranny with a low 1st gear for picking through rocks - Replace the primary chain with some clever Buell innovation that is always perfectly adjusted and requires no maintenance - Or a Helicon 900cc powerplant |

XB9X. With real dirt legs (suspension, clearance, 21" front wheel - better yet wire wheels but retaining the ZTL front brake. Heck, radial lace the front. Exhaust under the seat, well insulated please.). Make it a Katoom killer. And I agree, no ABS. |

6 speed or maybe revised gearing would be okay NO ABS maybe a hinge on the gas cap? Not quite used to that yet- don't drive much and cars have had hangers for the caps for years. That "clever, windrider" primary deal would be nice too- belt drive for no chain maint and then a primary to babysit. It's easier to watch the chain on my sportbike and lube it every so often. Oh and finish recalls before letting them off of the factory or at least the showroom floors. |

I'll bet the 1125R has short steering lock. Also the 1125R is very high compression. I wonder if it will run on Gasahol? |

6 speed or better yet a dual range transmission! Quiet fan 06 seat with no seams? I like it! Aluminum latches on factory bags. Cams that start making torque sooner. They did a lot of good on the 2008 now lets finish this project!! |

Serious illumination for un-lit roads, optional extra spots? Hazard warning lights. Have they improved the front brake pad material yet? (compared to the '06 model) |

A redesigned dash. One that you can see all info with out moving the clutch cable! Better hard bags. Better windshield. Oh hell, let's dream - more sport touring model!!!! |

How about rear brakes that work a little better? Six speed with lower 1st and taller 6th. Bionic silent fan. Some killer driving lights? A couple inches more in the wheelbase department. Cool (as in temp) seat and frame? An XB9X is a neat idea (cooler engine temps, cheaper insurance, lower cost!!!) |

OK forgive me but I am a big ABS fan but also like the ability to turn it off when the desire hits. From what I hear the ABS on the Ducati's is very good only kicks in when it is absolutely needed. Wheel base strectch seems like a good idea but is a total redesign and I really doubt this would happen. The ULY is still pretty new on the market so most changes will be refinements like we saw on the 2008. That is why I listed 6 speed and ABS. I understand the ABS unit for the new Harleys is very small and a very nice functioning unit. Better lights, redesigned bags, slight changes to ergos, engine refinements up to and including displacement increase or decrease are possible. I have a marketing and engineering background if I worked for Buell that is what I would be looking at. Just a girls opinion though. |

A bit more rake would increase the wheel base and allow for a larger front wheel. Maybe not a 21 but a solid 19 would be better then the 17 for off road as would the added rake. It would mean a change in a main piece though. |

Make ABS an option like on the Hd's, NOT a requirement. I do not want ABS on a bike that I mud mucking about on. And I WOULD mud muck with it. Make 1st a true stump puller for the technical dirt trails. make a 6th for freeway running at 80 mph @ say 3800 rpm. And of course, make a true ORANGE. |

I wonder if the rear brake is a little "soft" for easy, confident trail braking use? I also use it in lieu of the clutch sometimes to add a little drag rather than slip the clutch. I tend to do that(drag or cover the rear brake a bit) on my 05 zx10 in turns to act as a primitive traction control. It does take a decent stab to lock the uly rear though. I'm okay with it. And braided, stainless lines stock are a nice touch. (Message edited by miamiuly on September 05, 2007) (Message edited by miamiuly on September 05, 2007) |

More lights, REAL handguards that do not flop open on a drop, No ABS, perfect fuel injection, all the tools you need to take off the back wheel. |

My handguard flopped but did it's job and protected the lever. I watched another uly get dropped in dirt several times with no damage, handgaurd once pulled the cap out when it flipped out, replaced plug, pivot guard back and go. One downside to barkbusters is the off chance that when you flip over the bars, you break both of your wrists. That may have to do with their choosing the break away design in this litigious society. But I think the design is pretty clever in lessening the force and not bending or breaking or bending the bars... (Message edited by miamiuly on September 05, 2007) |

I like the 6 speed or at least a lower 1st gear. Another trip odometer and outside temperature with two displays. I use trip 1 for total trip and trip 2 for fuel. A 3rd trip would allow for daily trip. Outside temp would be nice as this bike gets ridden in all kinds of weather. Better fuel injection! |

1st post here on BadWeb. I've ridden the Uly and it's on the short list of "might have to add that to the stable". I like the 6 speed idea. I'd like to see another 1.2 gallons of fuel capacity a la 1125R. Maybe even +2 more gallons. I'd also like to see some factory designed crash bars for more protection for the dirt skewed riders. I have 5k on my '07 Uly now. I'd like to see a 6 speed with a lower 1st. gear, More fuel capacity, Revised headlight mounting (I dont like the hight adjustment on the fender), and most importantly Two (2) intake runners, higher velocity air of the smaller intakes will help alot.

Some decent tyre option for the Uly would be great, more along the lines of MT60 Corsa's or the Avon Supermoto Extreme rain tyre, all in the right profile,as well as possibly increasing the front tyre to a 19",yes to a 6 speed tranny with a lower 1st gear, and probably just my preference go for a digital dash and yes have it so you can see it without moving the clutch cable. |
