Kinda ironic seeing this bike on BWB -- the guy who built it is selling it to finance his newest project: A Buell X1 with a Kawi H2 engine! (That's a 750cc 2-stroke triple, for you young 'uns) Shameless self-promotion: My 1975 H2:

Cool coincidence! I was going to start a thread about rd350, rz400 family of bikes. I was wondering if anyone ever slapped a banshee engine in a street bike? look at this sick stuff that's available for the engines! http://www.stanstephens.com/ypvs350.htm |

Remember the Yamaha ysr 50? Built like a miniature FZR 750. I was helping a buddy put in an RZ350 motor. No sanity available at the time!! |

Pushrod. I rode a H2 nonstop from Aberdeen Md to Milwaukee Wi back in the eary 70s. Even though miles wise it dosent qualify for the Ironbutt, Im sure you would agree riding one of those things that far, that long, should qualify me for something! Wile_ I had a YRS until a few years ago, fun little bike. Did your buddy ever complete the RZ motor swap into the YSR? More importantly, is he still alive to tell how fast it went |

I loved those YSR50! A friend drove one to school on the highway once. He said that he was never so scared in his entire life. |

65460: we got it completed and it was dangerous!!! Had to extend swingarm 2 feet. Helped keep the front from trying to meet the rear when you got into the powerband. Leaves great darkies when launching out of the corners. He and I both are pushing max density at 200lbs+. So with the fifty motor in it was just a dog. It seems just about right now. Nate: I know what he means, I rode one around Columbus for awhile. There were two of us riding around. Looked real funny, 200lbs+ guys riding them things. Got alot of laughs but we didnt care. Parking lots were our Moto GP racetracks. Specially the one at Hooters. |

http://s160.photobucket.com/albums/t200/buffalobue ll/My%20Buff/ I saved this from a boneyard. Wish I had some before pics. It was already picked over with ratty parts installed, faded paint, non matching side covers, but it was running. I painted it frame up. Added the wheels, fairing, turn signals, expansion chambers, electronic ignition, etc. Got a set of 32mm Lectrons to install soon as I get time. These motors are virtually bullet proof as they have oil injection directly to the crank bearings. Many go over 100K. Seen one go over 200K never rebuilt. |

I wish my water buffalo looked so good. It's a great bike to ride. Maybe someday... It only has 13,000 miles on it. My plan was to use it to carry me and the wife, but I don't think I want to put her on the back of a bike, she just had her 4th back surgery. So it has been resting for years in my garage while I ride my Buell. |

I rode a H2 nonstop from Aberdeen Md to Milwaukee Wi back in the eary 70s. Damn! You got the feeling in your hands back yet??? Here's the Buell that's the basis for the eBay bike creator's next project.
I originally tried to talk him into sacrificing a crappier example (my financial situation prevented me from rescuing the bike altogether), but I gotta admit, I'm eager to see how the new Buellasaki turns out..... |

The case on the kawasaki won't be strong enough to be the frame of an X1. I suppose he will be fabbing up some sort of aluminum bracket? |

Speaking of old 2 strokers.... Somebody just offered me a 1990 YSR50. Next to no miles, bone stock, great condition, runs excellent. Sounds like one hell of a toy! Anybody know much about these? |

"Anybody know much about these?" I dont know how much hes asking, but if the bike has a TITLE and is truly low miles, low miles being under 1500. $1800-2000.00 would be a STEAL. Some people are asking either side of $3000 for a low mile (under1000 miles) bike. There alot of fun to play with |
