Ok... So why did I have to find out about this "Cafe Racer" version of the 1125R from a Car Forum? Anyone else want to confirm or deny these rumors? |

All I can say is: Consider the source! Who would know better? A forum whose posters who can't even tell that the 1125R engine is not the same as the air cooled twin in the rest of the Buell twin lineup? OR A forum whose posters regularly consist of Buell employees? I'd say it's bunk! At least for the time being, anyways. The only literature & media available only shows the 1125R. The only people who know for sure what the future holds in store won't be saying as they don't talk about future products. 1313 |

CR has shown up on various forms of dealer literature for a while now. Serious thought is that it stands for close ratio transmission and more serious suspension setup, but still street legal. |

I want them to do a "club sport" type bike. No street legal, no lights etc with a YIN that will get kicked out if you try to get a title and registration and sell it to folks with competition licenses. |

Harley-Davidsons budding new corporate policy regarding race parts that can be easily put on street only bikes will likely preclude your dream. There will also be classes for heavily modified street bikes that will require a "street legal" vin for the chassis at least. "Street legal" is such a flexible concept. The onboard computing power should make it easy for the enforcement people to check the status of any bike on the street in a few seconds which should solve the "problem" with race parts on street bikes. Our happy little world will be changing dramatically in the next couple of years. |

I hope that the 'CR' derivation is for a limited edition 1200cc race only version with chain drive, full carbon XBRR style bodywork, Ohlins Superbike forks and shock, race exhaust and around 180-190bhp at the rear wheel. Produce just enough to homologate the bike for WSB and various domestic Superbike series and support the 'semi-factory' or privateer teams with spares and technical assistance worldwide and Buell will be on to a winner. Oh, and sell it for US$30,000 worldwide ;) It will certainly be a much more attractive proposition as a race bike than the XBRR simply by virtue of being more powerful and eligible for a wider range of race series. |

It stands for "Crying Rooster". It includes chrome heel guards, straight pipes, and leather fringes. It was thought up by the Harley parts and accessories department. Great innovators, those folks... ;) |

Well, I know that "1125CR" has it's own model designation in the Digital Tech 2 software Harley rolled out at the end of August. I posted about it some time ago... |
