Sorry, I posted this somewhere else, but here it is again... Could someone please let me know if I'm on the right track here? I didn't purchase anything yet...other than the bike! Vance & Hines SS2-R Pipe K & N Airfilter Replacement...is there a problem with the way these fit? Is this a good way to go without having to brace the carb? 45/175 or 48/175 Jetting? Where do you purchase the .050" shim for the needle? I see some places sell Jet Kits...like the Dyno Jet and White Bros. Are these overkill and is it just as good to simply change the jets and shim the needle? Oh, what's wrong with the normal Harley cone shaped exhaust gasket with the V&H pipe? There is some talk of a part 17048-98...what exactly is that? Thanks! Russ |

k&n gOOD, JETTING FOR v&h 45/175, sHIM EQUALS APROX. TWO #6 WASHERS - sorry caps where on - jet kits are a worthless on a single - waste of money, torque cones are a crock, use a regular Blast gasket with the V&H -it works fine. Welcome! GT - JBOTDS! EZ |
