The silver ceramic coated ones (if you can find one or send one in to get done) will not discolor or radiate as much heat.   Tim Posted on Tuesday, September 04, 2007 - 10:30 pm:        I have two stock headers, both used: 1)99 M2 header (stock black) $75 plus shipping,and 2)99-02 stock S3/X1 header for $100 plus shipping(stainless,not ceramic, you would have to plug the O2 sensor bung) Buy both for $175 and I will pay shipping to OH.
