Listen carefully. Do you guys actually think that I read your personal issues that come across in your slams against me? If you people ONLY do what Buell "recommends" as far as o-rings, oil, brake pads and etc. when it comes to maintaning your beloved bikes, WHY do you in the same breath beat the living crap out of them riding? Why do you constantly support and buy NON Buell right side air-scoops, carbon fiber, AFTERMARKET exhausts, NON Buell-recommended tires, cheap chinese made in chinkoland electronical do-dads to make your fast buells go faster and hence less efficient and long lasting? An anonymous badweather dude emailed me and said he doesn't think Buells can go 124,000 miles. I think they can. I see through the double-standards you guys have for posting around here. |

There are varying positions on just about everything here on BadWeb. Ask which oil or tire or exhaust or bike or road or technique or whatever here and you will get positions all over the map. The difference with you is that YOU lack the ability to respect the positions of others, take these differences personally, and go on personal crusades $hitting up the board with your inanity. You lack even the balls to fully complete your profile. What, are you afraid we might know where you live? We see folks like you frequently. We've come to recognize your type, folks who lack even a modicum of common sense and decency. You are displeasurable online. We can only guess you are even more so in real life. Strangely enough, there isn't a single member who wouldn't go out of their way to meet, ride with, or help another member here. You, on the other hand, are someone no one wants to meet, ride with, or help in any way. You are pissing up a rope here. Catch a clue and move on. |

Do you guys actually think that I read your personal issues that come across in your slams against me? My guess, based on you posting this is - yes. See, here is the deal... BadWeb is the best resource there is for Buell owners. What other enthusiast websites do you see the factory regularily, not only watching, but actively participating on? So you might understand why people are quick to defend on here. There are tons of XB forums out there, but only one where you will find all of the people who are at the heart and soul of Buell. Rather than taking BadWeb for granted as just another internet forum to vent or argue on, take a step back and re-evaluate what your goals are on this site. As you may have noticed there is very little flaming and bullsh!t on BadWeb, and we pride ourselves of this fact. It has taken a long time (long before I ever came) to get to this point of established members, mutual respect, and a sense of family. Anyone, Buell owner or not, can register and participate on BadWeb, but you have to earn your respect over here, because we don't tolerate those who we feel add little to our awesome community and troll about only to make trouble. As I said, it has taken a long time to get to this point - something that seperates BadWeb from MANY other internet forums, and we aren't about to let someone come in a throw a wrench in this well-oiled machine. Now, I am not saying YOU are any of these things, but hopefully this insight will shed a different light and perspective of why we are and how we are on BadWeb, and with any luck you'll use the information to be a positive contributing member of this community. --Sean (Message edited by thespive on September 03, 2007) |

Southsidebuellone...Why are you so pissed off. Maybe thats just your style and most people don't get it. If it is I don't get it. This is not an attack on you just my thoughts. I don't visit BadWeb everyday, but I do visit it often. I find a lot of technical information, really good stories, funny pictures and plenty more. I think it is a great site. Occasionally I contribute, but not as much as others. I don't type very well (very slow) so getting my thoughts down sometimes isn't worth the work. I have been working on bikes and riding for a long time, but I never claim to know it all because I don't and I don't want it to come out that way in my posts. Sometimes I read something that I don't agree with. Thats ok. People don't agree sometimes and arguing about it won't change things if their mind is made up about it. Even if they may be wrong. Sometimes you have to let it go. In the big picture of life its not worth it. Take a deep breath and let whatever the problem is go. You have pissed off so many people with the comments, you're not going to get any nice ones for a while thats just the way it is. Why don't you start a thread called "Let's get past this I want to contribute in a nice way". Most people on here seem to be understanding and I bet will get past your negative comments after a while if you can get past theirs. Like a said, I don't know why you're pissed if you are or how things got to this point and I don't care. Lets just move on in a nice way. Seriously, people have wronged you, and in the same breath you have come across the wrong way. Take a step back, relax a bit, and when people flame you, forget it. They will eventually get over it and as long as you post respectfully and maturely everyone can get along and we can fix our bikes the way we want, ride em how we want, mod them how we want, etc. |

Southside, If you play nice and hang around you will find not many get drummed out of here. If you continue to repeat posts about the same things because people do not subscribe to you views you will find a lot of members will grow weary and urge you to move on. |

That's me alright. And not ONE piece of aftermarket/performance hardware on either of my Buells'.NOT ONE,i like 'em bone stock, they perform as expected.Use the best oils too.Prefer Viton over Buna-N.Use teflon where necessary.I wrap my brake bleeder screws/w teflon so when i vacuum bleed air isn't sucked through the bleeder screw threads. Being an antagonist isn't always a bad thing.Just remember, people grow numb to it. |

southy just a few things to think about...even though you won't read this. all of us ride our buells cause we love them...some stock and some modified. anyone who chooses to do mods or use other than OEM parts have taken a risk and expect better performance or a more personal machine than the next guy that doesn't mean we're any less intelligent or stupid for doing it. that being said these are the areas where the bad web shines. everyone may not agree with what the other guy does but most on here are more than willing to give helpful input and ideas to help everything from basic maintenance to major mods go smoothly and not harm the machine (we're all here for an awsome ride). but when the sh*t hits the fan with someones bike many bad webbers are there to help get him back on the road with any assistance needed, without regard to what parts he's using or what he did to his bike. just think about it. ride safe all |

southsidebuellone: I have tried to avoid saying this, but you have emotional problems and you need to seek out professional help. You tell us that people spit on your bike and assume that everyone on a sport bike who passes you is doing so to demonstrate their disrespect for Buells. You claimed that "the R-6 win at mid-ohio 2006" was done to show disrespect for Buells. You claimed that a Harley rider who would not accept your challenge to drag race was disrespecting Buells. You said that parts guys at Harley/Buell dealerships who said that they weren't 'Buell guys' were showing disrespect for Buells (when, in fact, they just might not care for sport bikes and, instead, prefer Harley cruisers). You claim that your badweb profile is incomplete because you fear identity theft. You wrote that people made "death threats" against you on this board (no such threats were made). That level of paranoia is one indication that you should be getting professional help. You call the Buell "junk" in one post and then claim in this one that it will go 124K miles in the next. In one message, you claimed that foreign-made stuff was junk and then, in the next line, said that you had Chinese wrenches which were better than Husky or Craftsman. On August 27, you wrote: "What is the BEST flowing aftermarket Buell (XB ONLY) exhaust in the whole wide world? (I'm looking for your expert opinions here.)" But on April 1, you wrote "YOU GUYS ARE RUINING YOUR BIKES WITH THEM PIPES YOU PUT ON THERE. LEAVE IT STOCK." On August 30th, you wrote " I followed him down West 25 to Woodbridge. Waiting for a clean clear section of street to set up a street drag. Doing a wheelie off the line and leaving him in the dust around the corner to Fulton exit". Then, on that same day, you wrote "I can't help that people ride their buells like they are some joe racer guys and do tremendous damage to the motor in riding so". When you're making that many contradictory statements, something is seriously wrong. When so many people are telling you that you're being confrontational, annoying, disruptive, illogical, etc., it's a sign that there's something wrong -- and it's not with all of them. Get some help. Please. |

Southsides' combination of arrogance, defensiveness, and paranoia is priceless! Every post is an adventure. If he's only messing with everyones' head, he's brilliant. If he's mentally unbalanced, he's at least entertaining. He does need to quit starting redundant threads; just post in existing ones, then it's like a fun surprise! |
