I DON'T WANT OLD NEWS FROM 2006 ! I WANTED FRESH OPINIONS ON BUELL STUFF. SO I CAN'T ASK FOR FRESH 2007 OPINIONS? WHAT CAN I ASK? |

STOP YELLING, IT'S RUDE, AND YELLING WILL GET YOU NO WHERE!!!!!!!!! Ask in just that manner, meaning post your topic with "2007/8 Opinion Wanted". Generic Qs often fall on deaf ears simply because we've most likely answered the same Q a 100 times. } |

I tried to ask my ORIGINAL question in the most clear concise way as possible. I can't help that people ride their buells like they are some joe racer guys and do tremendous damage to the motor in riding so, and turn around and worry about a teflon piece of tape? HA HA HA HA HA HA ! look at that guy who rebuilt rolls engines and says miniscule teflon tape use is moot ! ha ha ha ha ha then THEY try to turn it around like im that bad guy ! they don't value the long rider time tested 124,000+ FXD miles of REAL world miles not harley test track miles. they don't value challenges because they know their Buell is a slow a$$ bike and good luck trying to smoke an inline 4 with that 1125R. that stuff still wont smoke a inline 4. |

Wow, such hostility over nothing. I have smoked plenty of I4s with my 9S, and will again. Gotta remember this is the real world and not a spec sheet. It comes down to the rider NOT the bike 99% of the time. On the teflon issue, well NON issue really. If you use the stuff great, if not great. It really has no bearing either way. But being an ass about it does. Why do people get so upset when someone doesn't agree with them? I am asking because I really don't know. I do things the way I do, because it works for ME. Do what works for YOU, but don't tell me I'm doing it wrong. Make sense? I hope so. Geez, go buy an I4 and leave us alone. |

At least spell it correctly (Fascist). Besides, why do you have to resort to calling names. Most of us got over that stage in 1st or 2nd grade. Time2Work Neil S. |

Uhm... Pot, this is the kettle. Your black. I started a thread and asked a simple question, which you misunderstood and started ranting about your teflon tape issue (of which I have no opinion either way). My question may have been worded poorly, but I explained that the sealant wasn't the issue, and you instead continued your rant. I even asked you politely to go start your own thread, but you parked your soap box on my doorstep anyway. So, I asked a DARN QUESTION WHEN AND IF AND HOW I WANTed TO and you jumped in my face and hijacked my thread. If you want people to respect you, show some respect to them. My opinion is that if you demand respect, you probably don't deserve it. ref: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/302032.html?1188466327 |

Nice....um... shirt! Yes, shirt! The word "rack" never even crossed my mind! BTW, I've yet to see a post by Southside lately that didn't deteriorate into a bitchfest almost immediately. I preferred Rocket to this. At least he sounded intelligent in his rantings. ~SM (Message edited by Swordsman on August 30, 2007) |

You know Southsidebuellone... had you been a bit less antagonistic and petty with your argument and responses with Fmaxwell, you could have made him look like the big know-it-all loudmouth making a big, huge deal out of essentially nothing... ...but you didn't. And I suspect unless you change your BadWeb personna, you won't be getting that chance, either. You really don't have to take anyone's advice, you know, least of all mine... or Fmaxwell's. I didn't and I feel fine. |

I wish someone would stuff a roll of teflon tape in your mouth and see if it clogs that up. Seriously, no one cares what you have to say anymore. Has this guy made a single post that had any value to it? |

Luxor said, "Gotta remember this is the real world and not a spec sheet." So 124,432 stands as real world miles or not? or I'm just lying about that? I challenge all you no-teflon-Buell-riders. (Remember I own a 2003, XB9SL with less then 11,000 on da clock.) <--- so say what you will about that too. Report back here to me when you reach 100,000 no-teflon use miles and tell me what went right and what went wrong after those real world miles. Not wheelying around and sheering more metal off them motor parts then my teflon use long miler bike. Granted, Buells are not long mile riders per se. There are a few guys on here I remember posted about touring on XB bikes, and maybe the Uly guys will too. If you don't get my point the point is that little teflon pieces if they break off will be filtered and if not will not do a dern thing to a Buell motor, comparatively to doing the damage ONE wheelie landing does in increase of torque demands to the motor drive train and etc. Talk about oxymoron laden double standards that you worry about TEFLON tape? and slam that bike down into the ground when you land from your unskilled wheelies and burn-outs and hole shots putting more wear and tear on that bike then a TINY piece of teflon will ever cause ! I won't say another word about teflon until asked. } I see how you guys are, a little challenge and you gang up on the challenger. |
