I believe there is a "Brag" meeting at Fort Washington H/D this Saturday. I had a great time last month. |

It's supposed to be on the 1st, or this Saturday. A lot of people are out traveling. Should we do it next weekend on the 8th? Ft Washington Frederick and Old Glory are having their Open Houses that weekend. Maybe you guys can meet at Frederick and we can meet at Ft Washington and then we all hook up at at Old Glory then go ride around? |

Why not ride this weekend and next...lol Aren't the last CCS races of the season at Summit Point the weekend of the 8th?? Anyway, Saturday is supposed to be sunny and in the low 80's. It sounds a whole lot better then the last time you all had your meet. |

Not just the CCS races, the ASRA Nationals are on Sunday, including the Thunderbike race. |

I'll probably be @ Old Glory most of the day on the 8th. Hopefully I'll see some of you there. I hope they have the new Buell line and accessories out. |

So, Jose, are you having a gathering at Ft. Washington this weekend or next weekend? |

How about both? As Paul mentioned he'll be there on Saturday 9/1 I'll be there 9/8 and we can ride up to Old Glory. Sunday 9/9 we can all meet at Summit to watch the races like back in May. If enough people are interested I can lead a ride from Ft. Washington that morning or we can all just meet at the track. |

Another great ride this past Saturday. Thanks, Paul. We even had two Buell inquiries on our travels. Looks to be another nice weekend coming up. Who's going to the races and what day? |

Where do you guys usually buy your oil? I can't find anywhere with synthetic motorcycle oil. I went to HD, they were sold out. The one wal-mart that sells motorcycle oil only had one quart. I am looking to do an oil change soon, but I am in need of the main ingredient, oil. Any ideas? |

Just about any motorcycle shop should have the right oil.. also, depending on where you are, there should be Buell dealers near you.. We've got a bunch of them in the area.. |

Try NAPA. Of the two I frequent "down here" one has Amsoil the other Royal Purple. Not to start a oil war... I will say unless somebody is handing me a new motor along with the Amsoil there is no way I'd ever use that crap again. One oil related failure using Amsoil is enough for me. |

Thanks for the info guys. I happened to find a shop that had the HD Screaming Eagle oil. I will be back on the road in no time now. |

Does anyone know if I can put a slip on muffler without doing anything to the engine like the re-jet. Just want the bike a little louder without spending a lot. |

Supafast, you can just do a muffler but it is not recommended. I just recently was inquiring about the same thing. I found a hell of a deal on the Buell Race Muffler, brand new in the box none the less, and wanted to install that by itself. I really just wanted the sound as well, not really the performance side. I researched the forums and called some dealerships as well. The consensus seems to be that you do need to do the filter and the race ECM. You are letting a lot more air out of the bike, therefore you need to compensate by letting more in, i.e. the filter and removal of the snorkel. The ECM then helps adjust the air/fuel ratio into the proper range that way the bike is not running too lean. I was told that in the long run, running the bike with the muffler alone would eventually harm the motor. Whether or not there is any truth to this, I havent a clue. I hope this helps you out some. |

If you are truely looking to spend very little then drill holes in the muffler housing. Any muffler swap you'll need to do something with the ECM and possibly air filter. American Sport Bike can REMAP your ECM for $100 I read recently. I've also been reading about Drummer and Special Ops mufflers. Look to American Sport Bike for the muffler shootout. |

Thanks guys for the info. Ya, I saw the Drummer slip-on on the americansportbike link and thought that maybe I could just do that but I dont want to mess up my bike so I'll just go for the gold and do it right to begin with...... |

Yeah, thats a good idea. I was wondering what was worth $400 when they are using my stock exhaust can. After talking to Kevin Drum, all I can say is it is worth the investment. It isn't just a re pack job, he has completely re engineered the whole muffler. In fact they compete with a stock bike, the only change they made was the Drummer muffler, and it does very well. |

Thats good to hear b/c Im leaning toward the drummer. How much does the kit increase the power. I mean can you actually tell when you are riding? I dont want to sound like a total moron (just partial ) but I havent done anything to my bike other than cosmetic. Im just weighing the pros and cons to see if its worth doing or not. |

Supa.. I have the Drummer SS and it doesn't 'feel' faster.. BUT.. what it did was eliminate the mid range 'bump' that the stocker had. With that gone I could roll on more in the corners without fear of a sudden jerk upsetting the bike. I think while I may have even lost a tad at very peak, it's more robust through the mid (where I ride the most) and once I got the suspension done (Elka 3-way rear/race component 1kg springs forks) I've chopped seconds off my time at Summit Main. The Suspension is the first thing I'd say to do before engine work. But for sheer rideable grunt and a nice tone without causing bleeding eardrums.. A Drummer will do the trick! And no, I'm not on staff or anything.. Lastly.. Kevin is a great guy and stand behind everything he builds.. so the Customer service is way up there.. Ok, I'm out.. how long till I head South for another thread and some world class riding?! |

I have to work tonight and tommorow, so I'll try to see if I can make it to Ft Washington for the open House. Should be able to make it to Summit on Sunday. I will be at VIR accepting Sebastian's award.... I mean use his spot in the Intermediate group. See you there |
