S'all good. I was just glad to get some air moving on me again. Sorry I didn't ride to the front to wave off, but couldn't get by traffic. had to get home to let the dog out. |

Hey, it was great to see everyone at the Hooters. Wish I could've rode downtown, but we got started a little later than usual. Got to tell my wife to stop making plans on the last Sunday of the month. No matter what the time, nothing. |

Hay Dan, Good to see ya today, hopefully see you soon. Gotta get a ride going soon too.. not riding is KILLING ME!!! it is odd, I have had my bike now for almost 3 months, I have barely put 1200 miles on the thing. It is amazing how much kids soak up your time. |

Hey look! Thursday and Friday, anybody want to ride? I am taking the Little Kid north, no particular route other than the Tunnel of Trees to the Bridge, and back through Aspen Alley and that area on Friday. Anybody in? I have a couch available at my house Wednesday night, for an early start on Thursday. I have a friend in Hillman with floor space for Thursday night. Open to all and any options or variables. The UP really doesn't have any roads that are Buellish until Munising or Norway, so I would only cross the bridge to give the Little Kid the opportunity to say he did it. |

Hey Derek, I'm not going to be able to make it Sunday. I'm driving to NC to pick up my new bike. I'm going to have to change my screen name to "TwoTriumphs"...

Here's a link to that news article I saw on Sunday about the seniors trying to break speed record on bikes at the salt flats. Kinda cool. Hope I'm still at it at their age http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=200 7708260716 |

OMG those pic's are awesome Derek, don't wash the seat on your bike for while :-) Back to bikes, I'm torn between buying the new 1125R or the 2008 Firebolt. The new 2008 firebolt seemed to have a lot of nice upgrades to it. I really loved my Firebolt, but just time for something newer. What's everyone think???? |

1125, If you really like the R you would have kept your 'bolt. The upgrades are nice but all you are really getting is 7100 redline, new oil pump(max 32psi as oppsed to 18psi) forged pistons, new throttle body with FI system (no more TPS resets) |

Swampy too bad work gets in the way or I would meet you up there. I say 1125 all the way! Question: I have the stock seat which came with my City X I want to get the another seat as I have heard it sits lower? Is this true? Where would I be able to get the seat at the cheapest price? Thanks! |

I can't believe people are actually posting....its about time... Dan, get the new one 1125, or get a Daytona 675.... And its only two bikes. I sold my Street Rod a month ago. My two Triumphs, mods and all didn't add up to what the Harley cost...I don't know what I was thinking... Shobe, check out the track action. I got my leathers altered, I can spread my legs further now (couldn't get my knee down, kept draggin my boots and peg because they were too tight in the crotch.) I'm looking forward to trying it again Friday. You should sign up for Grattan or Gingerman in MI. I put new drag bars on today, too. Looks awesome speedyiii..Not sure I was ready for you to tell me about getting more room in your crotch, but s'all good. I definately want to do a track day. Maybe in late Sept. Gotta look at why I'm getting the shimmy in my front tire at 120+ though. would scare me to have that happen on the track. You're killin me though. Especially after hearin I can rent the leathers and don't have to do all of the safety wireing for the novice class too. You're an evil buckey. (Message edited by shobe on August 29, 2007) |

Dan, I think you should get the 1125, w/ the way you ride, and what you are used to it is a good blend. you like to pop wheelies, and ride like a rice rocket, while keeping the Buell riding feel. The 1125 is right up your alley I think. plus then you can get one in a month or two and let me ride it.. lol no seriously, it is your money, your decision, people can say what they want, when it comes down to it. what will make you happiest? that is how it was w/ my firebolt. Everyone said I should get the TT or the Ss, cause of me being 6'3" and what not.. but I just liked the firebolt design more, and I am a happy camper. On another note, yesturday was my 30th b-day.. applause applause... and my loving wife took my daughter to meet my mother-in-law in the morning so I could ride my bike to work. Well I rode, and loved it... the bike felt a little odd, but I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary... well a buddy (that I trust completely) here @ work wanted to take the 12R for a spin (die hard Harley rider, rides a road king). as he was pulling away I noticed the rear tire, FLAT!!!!! so I checked it out.. FREAKING NAIL...Happy b-day to me... blah blah blah. well the nail was in the tire for a while, and I rode the entire 32 miles to work on a completely flat tire, but those Parellis never buckled.. DANG FINE TIRES!!! I just hope my plug holds or else I might need a new rear tire.... we shall see |

Happy Birthday Blackbelt! I drove past your house yesterday at lunch time and saw the gate open, but you knowing karate and everything I didn't think it was a good thing to pop in unnanounced. If you decide to replace the tire I would be willing to offer to "show you how" |

Just rolled in from N.C., rode 300 miles yesterday on my new Daytona. Went to a place called "The Snake" in TN. It has 489 curves in about the same distance as the Dragon. I almost high sided it on one nasty curve. A word of advice to those of you going to the Dragon next week that have never been there before: CONCENTRATE! Look to where you want to go and not the guardrails....You can't lose your focus for even a split second, its just as mentally challenging as it is physically. Here's the trailer I offered up for you to use next week (minus the bikes), let me know if u need it so u can make arrangements to pick it up.
