Actually that's a fairly accurate statement; they are by and large, really nice folks. They run their site differently, play by a few different rules but to, for a moment, cast that as "wrong" or "un-nice" would be patently inaccurate. Choptop, who pretty much runs the house on SacBorg, has ALWAYS been there to help me whenever I had a technical glitch and needed help. Cecil, pretty much the #1 outspoken Buell nay-sayer is more of an internet caricature than he is real call to arms to abandon Buell. Offline he and I have had some great discussions and, even though we disagree on a number of things, it's a sharp individual. In addition, as I recall, it was when badweb took a dive that SacBorg quickly extended the badweb folks a spot to post. I hope they get it fixed quickly and with minimal damage. Court | ||

The email address will be a throw away one. He will hit it through two or three hops through compromised cable modems... so its unlikely you would track it back to the real source. It's like stealing cars. It's easy to do a lot of things to pretty much completely cover your tracks. Its even easier to screw up just one thing and not cover your tracks as much as you thought you did. And you only have to screw up once to ruin your whole day. So in the short term, the crackers have the advantage, but in the long run, almost all will loose, especially as now people understand "harmless hacking" is neither harmless nor hacking. Its plain old vandalization and theft. It's when organized crime goes after you and the money that things get really bad. You can secure your systems, but you can't secure your users, and somehow insecure users become your problem  | ||

What happens to one has a tendency to infect other related sites. Hope Blake and his web people are in contact with Chop and Vic and their people to get a jump on the next migrated attack. SACBORG is still accessible if you click on the following link or paste the link into your browser. As you might expect, its pretty quiet over there until Chop fixes it. http://www.sacborg.com/forum/search.php?do=getdaily Chop is aware of the problem but is swamped with work right now. i have met vik and i like him just fine. i have ridden with danny a number of times and like him very much as well. i have met and appreciate many of the "people" at sacborg but have had a few run ins that have turned me away. as some have also had on this website! i don't wish for them to be down forever, just a bit of a sideways jab at some of the players over there. i didn't really want to start a fight of any sort....but if one comes my way.... | ||
