As you all might know Terry Parsley and I are starting a new Dyno-tuning business at Infineon Raceway here in CA. We are off to a good start but ran into a problem with a supplier/vendor you may be familiar with-- Matt Gross of (now named) MMG Management was contracted to build us a dyno room. Well he has our money and we have no room and it looks like we won't be getting one. We filed a complaint with the Arizona Attn General and are looking into other legal avenues, but he is still doing business with other Badweb folks,so be aware. We also found another HD dealer in the same boat we are,so it's not a one time thing. If anyone else has a similar experience let us know so we can pass the info along. It was nearly the kiss of death for our fledgling biz. Thanks, Jim. |

Man that SUCKS!! The company I work for has people file bankruptcy all the time. We just got a real kick in the nads by a General Contractor we have been dealing with for years. We thought he was a great guy. He hit a hard spell and jumped ship on us. We know it happens sometimes and we will work with most people during a rough time. He left us hanging for 18000.00 bucks about a year ago. THEN about a month ago... The local paper does a article about how the Mullet boys are in deep into cart racing. They now own a 24' trailer, 4 carts. 6 motors, "Why that flame proof suit my boy has on cost over a 1000 bucks, and that helmet is about 300"..... on and on and on.. Not trying to hijack the your thread just sharing in the anger. Thanks to A$$HOLES like that you almost loose your business and no one around here will be getting a raise any time soon.... |

Can't you attach their property and assets with a lien? |

If they have "assets". I won a suit against a person. I placed a lien on a used BMW car not worth much. But I've yet to ever find out anything about the lien. I don't think cars and small items ever get checked or that the governments county or state share that information in an easy public manner. You can also freeze their bank accounts. But you need to know the account numbers and it cost $$ to fill out the paper work. Only to find out that account is closed or has no money in it. Slingshot with a ball bearing is very effective and doesn't make a noise. ..... Pellet pistols are also very effective and don't make much sound. No muzzle flash and can be used while driving, walking or riding a bike. Not in your car or your buell. |

"Slingshot with a ball bearing is very effective and doesn't make a noise" Don't be silly! Use a ball of ice instead. Evidence just goes away..... |

A friend of mine, if you know what I mean, runs an operation called Rent a Vinnie. All they need is an address and a picture of the guy and your problem goes away. By the way, You can't find them in the phone book. |

I'd rather get the money and have the pleasure of outing him here and anywhere else I can. Then see if we can go after his assets. But thanks for the sentiments. |

Jim, Sam and I want to thank all of you for your support, so here is an update. MGM AKA Matt Gross took our order for a pre-fab Dyno Room back in March at the same time he took one for a H-D Dealer in Dayton OH. He then went on to request final payment in April so the rooms could be shipped. We now find out that his supplier never built them because of outstanding funds owed him. All the way to July he let us believe the rooms were just waiting to be shipped, when in fact there were no rooms to ship. We have filed a complaint with the Arizona AG's Office and also have retained a "High Power Law Firm" to try and get our money back. |
