Got this email from a Brit friend. An incident occurred in a supermarket recently, when the following was witnessed: A Muslim woman dressed in a Burkha (A black gown & face mask) was standing with her shopping in a queue at the checkout. When it was her turn to be served, and as she reached the cashier, she made a loud remark about the English Flag lapel pin, which the female cashier was wearing on her blouse. The cashier reached up and touched the pin and said, "Yes, I always wear it proudly. My son serves abroad with the forces and I wear it for him". The Muslim woman then asked the cashier when she was going to stop bombing and killing her countrymen, explaining that she was Iraqi. At that point, a Gentleman standing in the queue stepped forward, and interrupted with a calm and gentle voice, and said to the Iraqi woman: "Excuse me, but hundreds of thousands of men and women, just like this ladies son have fought and sacrificed their lives so that people just like YOU can stand here, in England, which is MY country and allow you to blatantly accuse an innocent check-out cashier of bombing YOUR countrymen". "It is my belief that if you were allowed to be as outspoken as that in Iraq, which you claim to be YOUR country, then we wouldn't need to be fighting there today". "However - now that you have learned how to speak out and criticise the English people who have afforded you the protection of MY country, I will gladly pay the cost of a ticket to help you pay your way back to Iraq". "When you get there, and if you manage to survive for being as outspoken as you are here in England, then you should be able to help straighten out the mess which YOUR Iraqi countrymen have got you into in the first place, which appears to be the reason that you have come to MY country to avoid." Apparently the queue cheered and applauded. Just thought I'd share. |

Glad to see some of the British are aware of the mess them have gotten themselves into. Like a bad marriage, some people are just not meant to be together. The idea that two cultures as different as western civilization and 7th century Islam can coexist is ludicrous. I've already read where some Islamic groups have called for Sharia Law to be practiced in Muslim communities in both Great Britain, Canada and the U.S. It's only a matter of time before some left-leaning politician sees fit to grant them that right. Honor killings and stoning can't be far behind. |

"It is my belief that if you were allowed to be as outspoken as that in Iraq, which you claim to be YOUR country, then we wouldn't need to be fighting there today". That is NOT why we are fighting in that country. The story does lend credit to the fact muslims just don't like invading forces on there arab soil. The british guy had a 110% valid point though. I too would have stepped up to that plate. Don't come into MY country and talk trash. |

I agree with the moral of the story and the theme it projects, but it also set off my BS alarm... just like the story of the Marine officer and the female NPR reporter. Whether it's true or not is beside the point, I guess. |

I agree about the BS alarm. That a Muslim woman wearing a burka would say something that political is highly doubtful. Also, the idea that Iraqis caused the current mess in Iraq is simply false. |

Yes. It's a fluffy feel-good propaganda chainletter. I did a google of "The cashier reached up and touched the pin" and MANY hits came up. Here are the canadian and USA versions. http://www.breakthechain.org/exclusives/burqhastor e.html I wish the people that crank these out at least make it more creative before they passed it on. Like with Batman and a car chase in the story or something. |

That's why I made no comment about it just cut & pasted. You're all big enough to make up your own minds & draw your own conclusions I think. Well I certainly HOPE you all are. |

FIXED An incident occurred in an American supermarket recently, when the following was witnessed: A Muslim woman dressed in a Burkha (A black gown & face mask) was standing with her shopping in line at the checkout. As she waited in line, she made a loud remark about the man standing in line in front of her wearing red, white and blue attire complete with stars and stripes. The man said, "Yes, I always wear it proudly." The Muslim woman then asked the him when he was going to stop killing her countrymen, explaining that she was Iraqi. At that point, the man turned to her, and, with a calm and gentle voice, said to the Iraqi woman: "Excuse me, but hundreds of thousands of men and women have fought and sacrificed their lives so that people just like YOU can stand here, in AMERICA, which is MY country and allow you to blatantly accuse ME of killing YOUR countrymen". "However - now that you have learned how to speak out and criticize the American people who have afforded you the protection of MY country, I will gladly fly you back to Iraq myself". "When I drop you there, and if you manage to survive for being as outspoken as you are here in America, then you should be able to help straighten out the mess which YOUR Iraqi countrymen have got you into in the first place, which appears to be the reason that you have come to MY country to avoid." The man then smashed her in the face with his shield and cried "I'm Captain AMERICA, Bitch!" He grabbed the woman, threw her over his shoulder, and took off towards Iraq. The crowd in the store cheered and applauded. (Message edited by Not_Purple_S2 on August 28, 2007) |
