I am curious if anyone has heard from Odie? I sent him the money for a pipe and have been waiting a little over 2 months for it to come in. The last email I received from him was 2 weeks ago. It stated he was shipping me a completed pipe, until he saw he needed to add chrome tips on it for me. He said he would get them put on and bump the shipping up to 3day. I have sent him several emails since and haven't heard a word. I actually was one of the guys who answered a similar thread about 3-4 weeks ago from other Badweb'rs who had not heard anything from him and in that thread I stood up for Odie. At this point, outside of wanting the pipe... I am more curious as to if he is ok and is still in the pipe business. (Message edited by slowride on August 27, 2007) | ||

maybe this is something Blake needs to look in to. I mean he is right there when some one starts a thread about a product they'd like to sell, yet when one of his SPONSORS is unresponsive, nothing is done. Seems a little f'd up to me. that being said, I too, hope nothing has happened and maybe he's just overwhelmed with work? | ||

that's all fine and dandy, but imo it was poor customer service to up and disappear. i understand things happen, but when you run a business, you gotta take care of business. i find it hard to believe that someone can be so busy with whatever that they cant take 2 minutes to post "will be down until further notice" or something. tho i have yet to order my exhaust, watching others go thru this has helped me decide who to buy from when i can. | ||

Yall cut the man a break, he is a one man shop overloaded with orders, works a day job and is running another biz as well. One thing I know for sure is he is not trying to screw anyone or fall through, I know him personally and he would not do anything like this intentionally. | ||

I don't believe I personally said he was screwing anyone. But when people send money to some one for services, and have to wait weeks or months for a reply, I don't think you can fault them for being a little suspicious. It is, after all, their money. I sold him a muffler a while back and had no issues. That's why his not responding seems odd to me. I wouldn't write him off just yet if you're looking into an after market/modified muffler. | ||

Just to clarify..... Up till about 2 weeks ago, Odie and I did exchange emails and we did talk. The point to the thread was more to use the Badweb as a resource to find out why he had gone silent over the last 2 weeks. I have not and will never imply that Odie took my money. Matter of fact he offered a refund after a 2 month wait on a pipe. I told him to keep the money and just get me a pipe when he got his self settled. Once again, my emails to him had gone cold. This was very unlike Odie and I was looking for information. Looks like I found what I was looking for by the 3rd post. I think that was pretty dagone fantastic. In fact I sent Odie an email to his new addy asking for an update. Honestly, I am a Project Manager and I can get down right troublesome at times keeping tabs on things. | ||

I can't speak for anyone but myself here, but i wasn't implying that anyone was doing anything wrong like stealing. as i said in my first post, it's bad customer service and just bad business. i would certainly think that this board generates the bulk of his business, gotta take care of those who take care of you. i don't think you need to "live on a website" to post "company down until further notice, will explain when i can". the company we are talking about also has a website, nothing to my knowledge was posted there about any kind of shut down. to me, it doesn't matter if you're a guy in a garage or a corporation the size of Harley-Davidson-- being in business requires communication and accountability with your customers. | ||

Ok, I hate to bring this thread up again... but I have yet to get any communication from Spec Ops on the new email or old. Has anyone spoken to Odie or received a pipe from him in the last 2-3 weeks? Granted I don't have a lot of money out to him for the pipe, but I am starting to wonder if I will see the pipe or the money. |
