All, I am writing this as an open invitation to any and all to come to Maxton, N.C. and join in the LSR fun with the East Coast Timing Association. The ECTA rules are the same as the SCTA. If your a racer, you think you might want to be a racer, or just want to find out what it's all about, a good time is guaranteed. Spectator admission is just five bucks and camping on the grounds is permitted. Pushrod motorcycles are a plenty, but, it sure would be nice to see more Buells. For an event schedule visit their website at http://www.ecta-lsr.com/ Congratulations to the Sportster List Race Team for setting a new ECTA National One Mile all time pushrod record. Good Luck to Team Elves in their 2002 season. PB Also visit http://www.landracing.com/ for more LSR stuff. |

Interesting staetment Paul, you really squeezed some mph out of Roadkill there. However, there was a HD big twin dragster there several yrs ago that posted a 240mph speed. |

You are absolutely correct Mr. Snyder. Sorry for posting incorrect information. I had been told by several people that Metty's Monster WAS the fastest ever Pushrod Motorcycle at Maxton. Never checked it out myself. Couldn't find a 240, but, the records show L. Hess as running a 211.764 in Oct. of '97 in APS/PF-3000 under the entry name of Full Blast Engineering. L. Hess is also credited with a 218.446 in APS/PF-2000 at the same event. Hope I got it right that time. Sportster List appears in the records numerous times as well. Anyway, ya'll gotcha' one badass hotrod. I'm sure you'll will bump up the 172 at the April meet. PB Sure would like to see Team Elves in the Maxton Record Books. Maybe ya'll could organize an Eastern Division. |
