I am planning on going from PA. Last year I met some Buell folks at a rest stop on the NJ twp and rode on up from there. |

I know this isnt quite the right section, but does anyone know if you can run the Buell Race Muffler without doing the Race ECM? Is anyone currently doing it? I would appreciate any help or info. Please see my post here: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/300026.html?1187307759 |

Yeah, I ran my race can for a while with the stock ECM. It helps to get a TPS reset. |

do you have the pipe yet ? call me at work 410-238-2003 Scott in service. I got a lead on the hole kit for a xb9 but it's slightly used ( less than 500miles) probably $500 take all. it really is best to do it all at once. |

I need to balance the front wheel on the yellow bike, the lead fell off. On Liberty: Hopefully it will be a dry trip this year... I'd like to take a fun route up at least, instead of slabbing it all the way. An early start would be nice. |

Would that be the wheel i balanced? Should be a mark on the rim where the weight was, replace it with the same size 1/4 oz. segments. call me if thats not working for you |

I thought the wv thing was last weekend (I was in NJ). I'm low on funds, I haven't been able to afford the past few trips. Saving dough for VIR in Sept. Are you doing Suches in Oct? I really want to make that trip. I'm hooked on those roads... |

So, as it turns out, both the stator and voltage regulator need to be replaced. Although the stator tested OK, oil from the primary was somehow making it through the line. I was only getting 12.2 - 12.3 V on the battery with the bike running (fully charged). The battery with the bike off put out 12.8 V. Front tire is now balanced on the other bike and it's ready to go. Anyone out today? |

I was out for a good bit today, around 160 miles. What a great day for riding. It doesnt get any better than this. Surprisingly I didnt see as many bikes out as I thought I would. Saw no Buells on the road either. |

Hey guys Yesterday I was in Baltimore City and saw a XB9SX parked it had a carbon fiber air box cover and fenders. Anybody know who it belongs too? It was very cool. K Ras any updates on when you will leave for VIR. Looks like I'll be doing Total Control again for FREE on Sept. 9th and this course might be coming to HCC in Howard County. K |

Does anyone have any connections with someone who can provide me with a TPS reset? I just purchased the entire Buell Race Kit and will need to have this done. Thanks. |

Hey guys Yesterday I was in Baltimore City and saw a XB9SX parked it had a carbon fiber air box cover and fenders Sounds like the person I met down at Captain Harvey's in Dundalk. Carbon fiber cover with raised scoops? A 20-somthing guy who had never heard of the BadWeb and appeared to be somewhat disinterested in his bike. I got the impression it was more a source of transportation then entertainment. |

Grianp, I've got the VDSTS software, DOWNSIDE I'm 2 hours away from Frederick near Altoona, PA. It only takes about 5 minutes to reset it, once the engine is warm (300 degrees F) The VDSTS tells you temp. UPSIDE: we've got some great roads up here that you could try out your new system on. You could install everything but the ECM, ride here, I can install the ECM and do the reset. UPSIDE: FREE! P.S. Ask Rasmonis about my "stuff" and the roads around here. I'll be in Richmond, VA this weekend. But any w/e (preferably Saturdays) thru Sept 8 works for me. |

Yo Ras! Wouldn't you know it.. I had an electrical gremlin that the folks at Frederick Buell, h-d tracked it down for me.. It was a fuel pump relay problem.. Now all I need to do is figure out how to get up there to pick it up. Now, the interesting thing is that Robin's Blast is also in there, her stator (or some such) was causing an oil leak and we wanted to make sure it was tight before we headed to VIR.. Robin's supposed to be on track with us (novice group), she's already worried that everyone will be mad at her since the BumbleBuell won't do 170 on the straights.. Oy Vey.. (maybe she thinks McWilliams is going to be there?) |

Toona, thanks for the offer. That does sound like a good deal except for the over 2 hours away thing (2hr 45min on google). I guess I will have to decide if I want to make that trip in the next few weekends. Any chance you'll be closer to the MD area and could do it? Is there anyone else out there that might be a little bit closer? |

Blu, I'll be in the same group with her, we'll have a Blast! I'm there to learn not race, so it should be a good time. When are you picking them up? Hopefully we can meet up for lunch or something. The Bea5t is in the shop too with electrical woes (WTF). I hate electrical Px. and I swear I'm "anti-electrical systems work Ok man" AESWOM - they always seem follow me (Think I can submit that to So you want to be a Superhero?). -Ras |

Toona, no problem. I appreciate the offer. I am going to see if I can find someone a little bit closer to me. I already have the Race muffler, but I am still waiting on the ECM and filter to arrive. I will hopefully have it ready for the TPS reset by next weekend. |

Ramon.. You and I will have to go to the next audition.. We'll be the Buell Ridin' crime fightin' duo.. You can be AESWOM and I'll be.. uh.. Photo Dude! Or more simply maybe I'll be.. GunMan! Hey, wonder if we have any artists that wanna do a Manga of our advnetures? I'll let Robin know she's got good company in her group.. As far as pickin' the bike up..I'm gonna try for this afternoon.. Since I'm at Summit Point this weekend shootin' the races (as opposed to shootin the racers).. |

Apparently I while checking out my bike the tech discovered a "cracked" bearing in the stator? Or something related. Whatever it is, it won't be ready until late next week, they have to split the case to repair it. Yeah. I'm bummed out. (Message edited by rasmonis on August 24, 2007) |

Dang! I got mine and Robins back last night.. Dang.. She had a stator leaking oil.. I ended up with a new Fuel Pump (man that was costly) and a new relay.. I'd rather buy ten of those then one pump.. and let's not even talk about install prices.. On the plus side.. I no longer have an 'ugly' mounting for my shock res. Mike cut me a bracket for it and now it's mounted up and looks good and solid.. |

From Joe: "I walk in, and your bike is on a lift sitting *next* to its engine!! How the hell were you trying to install that regulator? LOL!" l'm stopping by tomorrow to check it out. |

Hello all, I was directed here from another thread! How many are going up (down) for VIR on the 12th? Were gonna head up on Tuesday and either get a room or camp, havn't decided yet. Does the trck have power outlets, places to camp, local motels............? Man I'm stoked. Watched from the sidelines long enough. time to take to the track and hone some skillz. |

I am hoping to install my race kit this weekend. I am still trying to find someone in the area that could possibly do the TPS reset for me. I was hoping to avoid going to the dealer unless I really have to. |
