I have a 1992 Mazda Miata that the previous owner tried to convert to R13 with not much luck. The line has a hole in it where the fitting once was. First, Does anybody know where I can get a new line? OR Can the line be repaired and a new fitting welded in place? |

Tis it aluminum or steel? I had an aluminum line welded up and repaired. Quite sure any welder can fix up a steel one too. Shall I inquire from a few friends? |

I can't get the picture to load. It is the low side that has the fitting on it. The fitting has been twisted off |

Well if you own a Miata, you owe it to yourself to give the Parts Group a call. I called them around 1pm today about the A/C line. He had one. I sent him a Paypal payment and I just got the tracking info with a note saying it would ship TODAY!! All thanks to a fellow Badwebber that gave me there contact info THANKS GARY!! You gotta love this website! |

Make sure when the shop pulls a vacuum on it to evacuate the A/C system they do a long/correct pull to get all the moisture out of the system. Water has a lower evaporation point under vacuum. Moisture is a BIG no no when it comes to A/C systems, especially R134a systems. I'm guessing your converting to 134a because of the cost of R12. |

Hey Mike! One of these days I will get to see that FAST Miata that you have. I would love to squeeze a blower under the hood of mine but the Buell habit gets all the extra cash for now. Check that link for The Parts Group. Lots of good stuff... |

Thanks for everyones help. I got the part yesterday and installed it last night. Put a charge of R13 in it and I am hoping for the best. The "Boss" drove it to work and she hasn't called to say it isn't working. No news is good news!!! |
