Sadly, this is precisely why I did not buy a Uly, instead going to the BMW R1200R which I am quite happy with ! I still try the old experiment: Go into a HD Dealership and look for the Buells, usually in the back corner of the showroom, if any at all. Sit on the Buell's and smile. 98% of the time I get no response at all from a salesman. Then I move over to the Ultra Classics, and am accosted by salesmen immediately. |

Ka5, while there may be valid reasons for chosing a BMW over a Uly, "superior dealer support" isn't even close to being on the list in my opinion. . . and I say this after having owned a handful of Roundels. |

Yeah, this is not a 'one brand is better than another' sort of thread. Take that crap somewhere else. I'm not saying that Buells are bad. I am saying that my dealership experience here in the greater Kansas City area has been terrible. This can happen no matter what the brand. I would buy another Buell if there were a better dealer for me to use. The bike has been reliable. I expect to replace a part or two after 15600 miles. Things wear out. What I am not happy with is the fact that every trip (even the routine services) to this dealer has ended with my having to go back to get something else fixed that they damaged during the previous trip. Every time I have been made to feel more and more of a nuisance to the Service Manager. I would not be posting any of this were it not for the fact that all of this crap has been left to me, the customer, to discover and then report back my dissatisfaction. None of the mistakes have been in any way subtle or hard to see. If you mar up some forks or a swing arm brace, you damn well know you did it. I don't even care that these things happened. I do care that they were NOT caught by the service department and reported to me along with a "the parts are on order" and "we are very sorry." The pictures are only the tip of the iceberg. I have not documented all of the FUBAR. end of rant |

Hey, About a week ago I was in KC, Metcalf and 435 (Overland Park actually)~9am. I saw TWO Uly's on Metcalf, didn't seem to be together. One black, one orange. |
