Well I finally got around to installing my 0 degree Crossroads. Some Traction Grips and some cheap e-bay bar ends. I really enjoy the feel of the Traction grips, but I have to mutilate the throttle side to get the bar ends on correctly. I cut a hole in each one and noticed that the rubber hands over the end of the bar about 1/4 inch. This is making it difficult to install the bar end on the throttle side. I really don't want to cut the grip shorter, but if I leave it the way it is the bar end is not held in the bar very well or the throttle has a built in cruise control. Any suggestions? I really enjoy the traction grips and like the look of the barends... Thanks, Ryan |

Move your throttle twist grip assembly inboard a bit. |

I installed Napoleon barends with the Traction grips and had the same problem. I modified the barend insert so that the rubber expander is away from the outside opening of the bars and was careful not to insert the mirror all the way in, next to the grips, before tightening them. No problem now. |

Xb9srider - I couldn't get the throttle assembly move any further up the bar. I tried... maybe now that I have a hole in the end it will work. Old_man - I tried that, but the Bar end adapter was not very stable. I'm afraid I will lose the mirror while riding. Maybe I should have purchased CRG mirrors... |

Trim more of the grip around the hole if you need to. I did this to mine with no issues...and it sounds like we are running the exact same setup (crossroad 0's, traction, and ebay bar ends)... |

Got it. Since I cut the Holes in the end I was able to move the throttle to the second notch in the crossroads. Now I have the bar ends on, but that little bit of movement has made my throttle bind... Now it's back to the cable routing... Thanks for all your help. |

I put a few washers between the rubber part that goes inside the bar and the mirror to space it out just right. It vibes a bit more than the left, but still waaay better than stock. |
