We have a Winner! Definitely most unique problem. You do have all the luck! I've had rats eat my wiring, seat and saddlebags, but none have ever nested in my exhaust. |

Cool story! I had a mouse build a nest in the aircleaner of my '82 RX-7 one winter. It was full of these wild cherry pits it was stocking up for hard times. Lucky I found it before pulling it all into the intake. I guess I should put a screen over the intake opening as I still worry about it happening again. |

Never heard of mice in a working parts of a vehicle! I have had mice eat the inner working of a laser printer here at work. Anything is possible. Imagine if the little thing was in there when you fired it up! HA HA HA! Poor Poor mouse! |

Well I'm back at working on the Blast again. No more dog food. The bike still wouldn't start...so I took out the ignition module the dealer gave me and put the old one back in....OMG it started, sounded pretty good. Then I let off the throttle and it proceeded to sputter and die. Tried to start it again and OMG it started up again right away.....sputters and dies when I let off the throttle. Stays running if I keep the throttle on mid-range. The bike is in neutral, clutch out. The boot is new, the plug is new, the auto-enrichner is new. Also when we try to adjust the timing turning the module seems to have no effect. Is the ignition module bad? Or could it be something else. I also get lots of backfiring and black smoke puffing out the carb when it dies. I am going to re-clean the carb again for the 100th time tomorrow. |

Are you still using the same old gas from last year when you had problems? |
