"TOKYO, Japan (Reuters) -- A Japanese biker failed to notice his leg had been severed below the knee when he hit a safety barrier, and rode on for 2 km (1.2 miles), leaving a friend to pick up the missing limb. The 54-year-old office worker was out on his motorcycle with a group of friends in the city of Hamamatsu, west of Tokyo, on Monday, when he was unable to negotiate a curve in the road and bumped into the central barrier, the Mainichi Shimbun said. He felt excruciating pain, but did not notice that his right leg was missing until he stopped at the next junction, the paper quoted local police as saying. The man and his leg were taken to hospital, but the limb had been crushed in the collision, the paper said." |

I was asked to post this from Kristi (Ulywife).... She has come through for me on the Molly_ Hatchet issue. For those who do not know He was to send me a jacket for my wife from the "Pay It Foreward" Program. I sent him some cash and 3 months later after many emails nothing. She happened to come across the post I made and responded. This is a great program and my son has a great helmet thanks to her and carlos. They never even charged me either...I have even tried getting them to take monies in different ways with NO sucess! So once I got the check from Kristi, And reading on the Matt WAre program I turned the cash back around and contributed to the cause, You guys should also as there are only a few patches left....... BIG THANKS TO Ulywife For Everything! |

I was asked to post this from Kristi (Ulywife).... I asked Eric to post a quick "we got it resolved" regarding his issue with PIF. I wanted to be sure that anyone here on NEBO that had read the original post knew that this issue had been handled and to restore PIF's good name. As for the Matt Ware patches, we do have a few left. They are $10 each and 100% of patch sales go to benefit the Ware Family to help off-set the unpaid medical bills left when Matt passed away. You can drop me a PM if you are interested in any patches. Thanks again Eric and I'm sorry it had gotten so out of hand before I knew something about the situation. Thanks for restoring faith in Pay It Forward. Kristi

I don't think I'll be able to ride this weekend. I'm taking tomorrow and friday off of work as it is to get some work done on the house. I'll see how much I can get done before the ride and see if I can make it... |

But if you guys find yourselves out my way during the Sunday grind and you're sick of Dunk's coffee, stop by & say hi. I'll put a pot on for ya. |

Alright guys, I know this should probably be in the knowledge vault, but @ 7100 miles already this summer... I need atleast a new rear tire, but will probably change both. The reason im asking in here is b/c most of you see the same road cond./weather that i see in New England. Any ideas on which tire/where i can get them mounted? have a long ride next week would like to NOT be on the wear bars.. Thanks in advance, Nick |

All the regulars in here swear by Pirelli Diablo Corsa 3's. I'm on the standard Corsas myself and perfectly happy with them. As for getting them by next week, good luck. Several of us have had success ordering from Motorcycle-superstore.com, and the mounting has taken place at other NEBO members' houses. One in Uxbridge and one in (I think) Taunton. I'm not calling them out, but if they've got the time to hook you up they'll say so right here. |

Yeah, one of the local NESR guys thinks that I should be fine on them for next weekend. Ive been reading as much as I can. I am leaning towards the CIII's. If someone local could show me the way (keep me out of the deeeealerships) that would be great. |

Signguy, I will be there on the 26th. I can't wait. I have been getting really interested in Supermoto lately. I am looking forward to turning a future Buell dirt bike into a motard and using that as my track bike. I am moving to Northbridge this weekend. 222 Providence Rd (Rt 122). This Sunday after 6pm if anyone wants to stop over the new place for a beer they are more then welcome. |
