I like the grenade. I just got back from the ride today. I wanted to say thanks to Mike and Roy for not scaring the piss out of me taking the corners too crazy. It was a great ride and a great day to do it. I can't wait for the next one. Brett |

SUCCESS! The latest "Plan" is safely in the garage. Anybody know if it's difficult to title a MD bike in VA?? I wouldn't think so, but I don't think much. Maybe I'll mosey over to the DC/VA/MD thread and ask them. |

Roy and Brett Good ride, Our goal is to get you out riding and show you some roads you may have not seen before. Scaring the piss out of someone is not one of our goals. Glad you enjoyed the ride. come out again. Tank Congrats on the successful mission and I had no problem getting a title for my bike and it had a Georgia title. As long as the title is clean and no liens are on it you should fly right thru. Mike |

Tank- I would imagine that getting a bike title switched from another state would be about the same process as a car's title. I just had to do that with my car a few months ago and there was nothing to it. Just like Mike said, as long as the title is clean and there aren't any liens on it, the process should be relatively painless. Mike- Thanks again brother, I'm sure I'll see you guys around soon. Tank - I had no issue with riding a bike with NC plate until it was time to renew, then I switched over to VA. It was fairly straight forward. Van |

Hey Guys... ya'll know of a good place to go and try on helmets? The only place I know of on the Pen (besides HRHD of course) is Casey Cycle City. They don't have a large selection and to be honest, I never really liked those guys. Anyway, I got back on last night and it was apparent that I needed a new lid. Thanks for the help. |

Mel - Cycle Gear on Little Creek Blvd has a good selection of Shoei, KBC, HJC, (and I think Suomy and Scorpion as well). They are also next to Sunrise Cycles which has a smaller selection. PM me if you are going to be in the area and I will ride over with you. It is kind of funny that their web site prices are lower, but if you buy a helmet at the store, they will give you a 7-day return policy. Van |

Thanks for the offer Van, I think I'll ride over on 4 wheels when I do go. My confidence level in my gear is just that low. I heard rattling in my helmet the last time I rode... that can't be good! Hey, did you ride out to Pungo Saturday with Mike or was it just Mike and the new guys? Sorry I missed the ride guys!!!! Hey, were are we going next? (I see we missed Poe's this month) Any Suggestions? |

Hey... I'm almost done with the shed, after I clean my stuff up, I'll be doing a cook out. You guys are all invited!!! (I just ask that half of you bring beer and the other half some sort of meat(lol)) My wife said she'll do the rest. It could be the first annual "Hampton Roads Hooligans" Cook out!!! |

Has anyone had XB tranny work done around here? Weekend before last I was headed for the Blue Ridge mountains and it was just TOO DAMN HOT so I aborted the ride outside Richmond and headed back. When I got back I noticed oil leaking on the muffler of my 03 XB9R. After pulling the sprocket cover off, it looks like the fluid is coming out of the main shaft inside the transmission sprocket. I checked the manual and was unpleasantly surprised to see that to work on the tranny you have to split the cases. This sounds like it will be insanely expensive. I am hoping that someone can recommend a qualified shop around here that can do the work without costing more than the bike is worth. If not, does anyone want an 03 Bolt with a tranny leak? Runs and drives. Hell, I didn't even know there was a problem until I went to put the cover on it and saw the fluid. Thanks, Mike |

Mach1, Make sure it isn't coming from above the shaft, from under the starter somewhere, and running down over the sprocket. I have not heard of that seal leaking, but have heard reports of starter gaskets and other stuff up there leaking making an ugly mess around the sprocket area. Tank |

Hey all, I had a good ride this last weekend and am looking forward to more. Cycle gear is a good place to get items, that is where I got my helmet. Roy |

Sorry to hear that Mike... but hey, if you get it fixed, let me know when you plan on attempting the the BR Trip again... I'll ride out with ya... (I've been wanting to head up that way) BTW... I saw on Mercury Blvd, a Red X1 on Sunday... (of course I was heading in the opposite direction with the entire family) Young guy...maybe early to mid 20's with one of those brain buckets on... Any clues who that might have been? (Message edited by xb12mel on August 14, 2007) |

well we're on the Buell club page but I kinda screwed up. I originally started it but told them to make Tank the point of contact(since he has more time and availability to ride) after he posted to Blake he would submit. (Message edited by kmfw160 on August 14, 2007) |

Kev, PM sent. I have seen several in the last couple weeks. The ones that stick out most are.. white bolt-Ft. Eustis Blvd yellow bolt-Victory blvd blue Cyclone racing stripe edition-near 17/Dare Rd and today I saw an X1 on a landscape trailer with landscape equipment on 64 near Jefferson. There is another Bolt(black, I think) that I see in Oyster point office park on a regular basis. Am I ever on the bike???? Nope, always the work truck. |

I know a guy named Terry that rides a blue firebolt. I'll have to find him again. I also talked to a guy on Eustis that rides a black firebolt. He is a recruiter so time is not on his side. lol We need to figure out this design that we are gonna use then holler at Blake and get our group name all bold like the other groups at the top of Stormfronts.
