Who has them on the floor now? I still cant see that we can even order them! They are not showing up on h-d model listing. I am not talking about cutaways, or promotional show offs. I mean a bike ready to be demo'd, ridden by a customer and owned. Come on Buell, get me this bike before our riding season is over! |

No one has them. Production is to start in Oct. Dealer will have them on the showroom by the end of the year, that is if they're not all sold. Jason (Message edited by V8KILLR on August 12, 2007) |

We announced at the dealer show that production would not start until October 15th, and that dealers would not get their first bike until late in the year. I am sorry if your dealer principal or whoever attended the show didn't pass that on to you. |

Come on Buell, get me this bike before our riding season is over! Since they aren't going to be ready "until late in the year." I think all 1125r's should ship to southern states until at least March. It would be a waste delivering bikes to those snowbound saps up north just to sit in the garage. |

Agreed... I live in AZ and until I changed jobs I was going on 1300 days straight riding to work on the Firebolt... I live in Northern AZ. I'd be buying from Grand Canyon HD so ship the first one there and have them give me a call ;). |

According to the HD guys at Sturgis the Rocker C will be coming out about the same time as the 1125R. |

"Snowbound saps"? *This* sap rides all year long, thank you very much. Can you say "Gerbings"? We still want 'em just as bad up here as you guys down south! CityX - hasn't your dealer signed you up for the class? Grab a promotion digest or look on H-Dnet, it'll tell you all about it. I told mine (since I'm leaving Sales to work in Service) if they don't want to pay for me to go, save me a spot and I'll pay my own tab. |

Well, if they're supposed to start building on Oct 15, figure first of November if conditions are ideal for first shipments. Our GM was told we'd probably have our first units by the first of the year. I'm figuring new years to be safe; anything sooner than that, I'll consider an early Christmas present! |

they should send them to the Buell dealers that having been working their asses off for years to maintain and grow their Buell business. Let the Dealer that could hardly give away Buells wait for this one that even they could sell. (Message edited by daves on August 13, 2007) |

I know there must be some reason. And I'm sure it's a good one. But Buell tends to do this to us. (And to you.) Take the Uly for example. Released all the groovy info, got everyone all excited, then said, oh, well, it'll be a few months before you can actually SEE one in person. All the excitement kinda wanes before the bike even gets to the showroom. Now, everyone's all hyped up for the new bike, US INCLUDED, and no one can see them in a dealership, much less buy one, for months and months! WHY DO THEY TOY WITH US?? I'd LOVE to have a bike here for display, or even better, TO SELL! But I didn't even get to go to the dealer show! I'm with you guys - I can't freakin' wait! |

From what I understand, they're still nailing down final details (like clear versus amber turn signal lenses, for instance) for the true production bikes. For my money (and I plan on plunking down 12gs on one when they're out), I'd rather wait a month or two and avoid a sidestand recall, or a security system error that keeps me from starting my new bike, or a suspension system that has a bug or two that I don't find until I'm cranking thru a turn full-bore. Right now I'm all about "take your time and release a good product". We (Buellers in general) need a rock solid product more than we need a quick-to-market product....more so now than ever given the world-class potential for this design. Take my word for it - we've got DVDs at the dealer that I'm sure are on "time release" - TV ads, dealer spots, awesome stuff. Some are on the website now, some I haven't seen yet outside of our staff meeting. The fact they made these vids tells me they plan to ride the crest of the "wah-hoo" wave - and keep the hype going - all the way to the bikes' release. |

Thankfully Buell promoted the bike before they were available. If they would have been in the showroom the day the revealed the bike, I'd have rushed out and bought one then had to explain to my daughter why she wasn't getting any Christmas presents this year. LOL! |

All the hype and media exposure is making my customers want the bike now, and driving quite a bit of excitement, you should see the look on their faces when I tell them that she wont be her till November at the earliest. (we have months of rain in a row) Yes you can ride through it, and I do, but the sportbiking crowd locally is VERY seasonal. I am guessing that the dirtbike will be the same, six months of ad copy before I see bike on floor. Hype will only get you so far, the bike needs to do the rest. |

Unfortunately that's where we come in as salespeople - we have to keep that hype alive. Figure out who the "real" customers are and keep in touch with them. Update them every time we get the smallest tidbit of information or showroom fluff. Use it as an excuse for XB test rides, especially on "cold" Buell customers who've never ridden one - use the angle "imagine this level of handling and braking with 50% more horsepower". Make them feel 'in the loop' and keep them as hyped about it as we are. That's part of the reason I prefer selling Buells to HDs - there's a challenge to it. HD's make us a paper-pusher; an order-filler. Buells require a little work...but pay off with a LOT of fun. Did you ever find out if you get to go to one of the classes? |

Oh, I can sell a bike based on a picture alone, the new Rockers, Fat Bobs and Screaming Eagles have all been knocked down. But like you said, Buell is where the Fun is And with a lot of the competing brands, they dont believe that Buell can build such a bike, esp since all I have is a tech sheet. (how many times has bench racing proved anything real?) Took the first deposit today, but still want the bike. Like a damn kid wants Christmas earlier than the 25th . Sorry, just my rant. It looks to be a great bike, and if the ergos are nice, it might lead me back to "crotch rockets" |

Really? People are complaining because it looks a little funny? I don't care if it looks like a crippled horse with three testicles, if it's fast and it plasters a smile on my face while I'm bombing the twisties, it's the bike for me. (Message edited by nondual on August 18, 2007) |

"I don't care if it looks like a crippled horse with three testicles" So that's where the bike's designers got their inspiration! |

I went to the factory for a tour this past Thursday and I had asked when are the 1125's actually gonna be coming to the dealers. As me and the tour guide( who has the same name as a famous country singer) were discussing this, one of the engineers overheard our conversation came over just as Kenny was telling me "towards the end of the year" the engineer (who's name escapes me now) said that they want them in the dealerships by sometime in October. They were rapping up the XB's they were currently making and moving the Blast assembly to the rear of the building. That's what I was told among other things, some not related to the 1125, but there ya go......... |

Kenny Rogers is one of Buells great "human secret weapons". I always figured it was the "First Edition" who dug the name and gave it to their leader! A tour of Buell with Kenny Rogers would be a darn good tour! |

It was a great tour! Kenny showed us around, let us fondle some parts, and answered many a question. I've been there a few times before, but wasn't able to make it to Homecoming this year. I played stupid in hopes of learning something new. Plus I wanted to take my friend thats never been there and try and convert him. He tried real hard to locate a 1125r for us to look at, but he said they were all out to California or on the demos. All in all he took about a hour out of his day to deal with us, which is way more than we expected! |

Man, just my luck. I had to go to all the way across the country to California to visit several locations for work this past week. We wound up in Monterey- ~one week AFTER Buell's intro of the 1125R. Like they say, timing is everything... |
