Author Message   Scott_in_nh Posted on Saturday, August 11, 2007 - 08:13 am:        As you already know, this group isn't afraid of a little speed Mike. I think the real issue is being there at 6 pm.... On a Saturday night with a Hotel room in North Conway waiting for you (not to mention a cold Tuckerman Pale Ale at "Horse Feathers") it would be different, and yes having the auto road to ourselves would be cool! There may not be a posted limit but the "recommended speed" is 25.... Anyway, what I have done in the past is (if it isn't too crowded)just slow down to let the cars get away from you. It is kinda like storing up nitrous on a video game..... Cadillac Mountain does have a limit, 25 or 30 I think, but considering the nature of the corners it is great fun at only 10 to 15 over. You could go faster on the straights, but it is the corners that are the fun - why attract attention AND eat up the distance between you and that next bumper somewhere ahead of you? Whatever we do I'm sure we will all have fun! PS If you have never done it, come on up and do some drag racing with us! You can go as fast as the bike and your skill will carry you - safely - with no tickets! Don't for a second think that it is boring or easy because it doesn't have corners. There is a group meeting at Dunks in Amesbury: JPB, Scotty_j, Ducxl, Ducxl's wife, Baggermike and Powermedic1. Dunkin Donuts, 80 Macy Street, Amesbury, MA (978) 388-3076 Meet time is set for 8-8:45. If all of these are accounted for we will leave when everybody is ready. If we don't have everybody...we will wait until 8:45...after that you are left to catch up... If I have missed somebody's name that is planning on meeting at Amesbury...PLEASE POST IT TONIGHT!!! I don't want to leave anybody behind...Also...if you are not planning on being there...we don't want to be waiting for people that aren't showing... The ride from Amesbury Dunks to breakfast in New Market NH is approx 30 min. So the big final meeting is set for 9:15-9:30am: Big Bean Breakfast Cafe,118 Main Street, New Market, NH - (603) 659-8600 Damnut is bringing his Taunton/work crew directly to New Market - we will not be leaving there until Damnut and company show up. He is anticipating being there around 10-10:30. Any last minute changes or problems please try to call somebody in the group to let them know what is going on... The NH crew is meeting at Scott_in_nh's house and riding to New Market for breakfast...
