"and I'm always afraid they're drunk-riding - in Wisconsin, many in the HD crowd rides from bar to bar for burgers and beer..." The first time I found out what the format of a "Poker Run" was, bar to bar picking up cards, it made me question the whole HD/H.O.G. sponsored events. Of course NO ONE driving a bike is drinking alcohol on those rides, right? |

Curtyd, thanks for the critique brother. I appreciate the comments, but I think there is quite a bit of difference between omitting an occasional word and the post i commented about. I have no illusions of perfection here, maybe just a plain ol' respect of the english language. Thanks. |

Hold the F**K up MR. Fresnobuell. I have done nothing to try to offend anyone on this site and I always try to be a really friendly person but you my friend have insulted me. Yes I know I cannot spell very well, but how the hell does that give you the right to sit here and call me stupid and lazy. When you’re probably some fat a** that sits in an office while I am making sure you still have that F**king freedom so think about that next time you feel the need to insult me or my intelligence. A 'respect for the good ol' English language' but NO respect for the people you use it with, DOUBLE HOOT! FresnoBuell, have you not come to realize that the only one whose credibility is on the line is YOURS? You make excuses for your obvious writing mistakes after you are RUDE and INSULT someone else from this flawed presumption of superior position of spelling and grammar. Spelling and credibility of motorcycle experiences have no correlation. You demonstrate that aptly here. YOUR credibility is ZERO, in my opinion, an apology might be a good place to start, but heck, you can not be WRONG, just hurried, right? (Message edited by CurtyD on August 07, 2007) |

Nice pithy Jimi! Come on guys, the bickering and personal commentary is silly. Those interested in such dialogue should surf on over to www.bickeringbikers.com/ . |

Curt, you can TRIPLE HOOT me for whatever it is worth. I won't rehash things as I believe that I have made my statement and the fact that this has already been blown way out of proportion. Sorry if I have ruffled some feathers (obviously), but my opinion of the post in question has, and will never, change. Let's get back to the real issue at hand--the Buell 1125R. Pease. Hahaha....PEACE!!!!!!! |

Hey, BLAKE, what happened to the prohibition against personal attacks? I would think "lazy and stupid" would qualify for at least a direct warning or even banishment. Don't believe in supporting our troops? Double standard here? Maybe Fresno is someone from the RIGHT political party. |

Don't believe in supporting our troops? Double standard here? You are losing me here. If these comments are directed towards me, I don't recall ever stating anything towards our troops. Curt, you need to take it down a notch or two. Maybe Fresno is someone from the RIGHT political party. Again, the political rant is a figment of your imagination and has nothing to do with the situation at hand, other than escalate it....but that seems like what you are trying to do here, for whatever reason. |

"lazy and stupid", a comment about someone's literacy skills, and this guy says I am trying to escalate this. I challenged a extremely rude and offensive comment on this board directed as a personal attack that was completely irrelevant to the topic being discussed. It was an insult to those who read it as well. I don't think anyone here has a "right" to fling epithets and very personal attacks at anyone and they should be disciplined. If not, at least exposed and pilloried if the owners don't want to take any action other than... "please boys..." |

It was an insult to those who read it as well. ....unless they can spell or at least use the spell checking tool provided by BadWeb (PS, that's where the lazy part comes in). And IMO it's pretty laughable that you can speak for other Badwebbers on this matter. Again, sorry I pissed some people off, but give it a break, man. I am SURE Blake appreciates the help in administrating this forum, but the guy does a fine job. If he wants to discipline me, then I would respect that. Maybe if you call him out a couple more times on it, you might get your redemption...if not, I guess it is back to the pillory!

Hey Thin_Air I think you should write a letter to the owner of the dealership relating your experience and why you won't be buying a bike from him. He just might be interested in knowing about that. "HD requires us to keep a certain number of each family as demos, for test rides, and keep them in-fleet for six months. If they are sold and not replaced with a like model, we're penalized next time around and get less demos. " My local dealer keeps his demo HD's in back until the end of the six month period and then sells the bike as new, or at least they used to. I found this out when I saw a Midnight Express sitting in back and I asked about it. The salesman told me it is their 'demo' but not to be ridden and then sold as new. So....... The same dealer sells about one or less Buells per month and maybe 100 HD's per month so it is no surprise that they don't really care that much about Buell. Buell just does not make much money for them. Yeah, when I had a Buell and took it in for service they did act like I was asking them to work on a Jap bike. Which is a good way to describe the treatment that I received from them. (Message edited by budo on September 04, 2007) |

TECHNICALLY we cant have a dealer presence at the show as we are out of area (its a Downtown, East Side, Lynnwood territory) But I will be there with the National display for BUELL. Should be a fun time, I have done it for the last 4 years. |
