I tried to make it later, but everybody else wants to meet at 9am on the edge of nowhere. See ya'll at 9am. Haven't heard from the "co-worker", I have my doubts if he'll show. But we will roll either way. I just can't seem to find anybody willing to sell a bike??? |

O.k. I gotta' post up.... ...(insert full sarcasm smiley here) Great ride Ya'll!! We'll have to do that again soon.... ...as long as there isn't 500 pounds of rice that needs to be moved 50 miles ...and we all now know what PLAN-C looks like (J/K Mike, anytime) ...and as long as another one of my imaginary friends doesn't show. ...and this list is too long... (sarcasm-off) Anybody know a dealer that wants to sell a small Dual Sport??? There don't seem to be any where I have been.. See ya'll next time... |

Tank Now you know the old jeep will be able to haul two bikes after unloading all that rice yesterday. They say rice is good for you, but it wasn't doing much for me or my wallet $281.37 for a stator. I guess I should be glad it's still available new with the 20k mile lifespan of the part. THANKS AGAIN !! I was talking to an xb bolt rider that has added some new software package that let's you adjust fuel mapping o throttle position. kind of like exponential (sp?) on radio control plane control. more or less fuel to any given throttle opening. he says it's a ride and tune repeated procedure. I threw your name out thinking you may have some experience with this if he had question. hope you don't mind. or you could be clueless like me. Van and Mel sorry about the ride, I'm working on a better plan"C" you know if you name it mike's broke bikes i am going t have to break down every ride and then where's the fun in that!! HRHis fine with me goes with the bikes Mike |

Hampton Roads Hooligans or Hampton Roads Buellers. Man, traffic was bad. Glad you guys made it back ok. Mel - I thought the HRBT was cleared so I did not follow you down 664. What a mistake!!! I had to turned around on La Salle and went back on 664. You should change your handle to SpeedieMel. I had to do 100+ to catch you at one point... and I have forgotten to bring my driver's license (not that it would have helped) Van |

Mike - here is your plan C. I've been watching this and he has dropped $1,000 off the original asking price since last month. http://norfolk.craigslist.org/mcy/388828490.html Van |

Van working on a plan c but might have to wait for january. I was thinking about a S2 or S3 thunderbolt but might just pull the trigger on a 08 white firebolt and get some soft bags (tank and tail ) to travel with. The M2 is just too close to the and I would never ride it with the S1 available Mike |

I guess we are all in agreement with 'Hampton Roads Hooligans'...so who can do some CAD stuff or anything artistic on the Computer? I went for a ride today and got a little wet. lol. I need some new grips man, after 45 min on the way to VA beach my right hand was jello. |

we could always call it minus 1 Or "Missing Man", you're right, we always seem to be waiting on somebody that doesn't show. Just so we are on the same page... PLAN-C = Trailer. It's there if anybody needs it, but let's not make a habit of it! I'll try to make contact with Blake for the conversion to... HRH |

Sorry Van.... I was getting a little impatient with my fellow commuters. I saw an opening and went for it!!! (Yeah, the XB12 can move) but I don't think I actually hit 100, could be wrong tho. IMO "Hampton Roads Hooligans" sounds too much like Detroit Hooligans or Bakersville Hooligans. What about "East VA-Buelligans" ? And of course that means we are going to have to recruit some more riders.... "4 and a possible" sound more like a hand in spades then a motorcycle club! |

Hey guys, saw this from the other boards and thought I would stop lurking and register. I also have a question. I know you guys do rides quite often and prolly have all the roads really well figured out up on the Peninsula. So, how would you guys ride from Portsmouth to HR HD and back? Thanks, Brett |

I would vote for Hampton Roads Buelligans. Just because it reminds me of the rugby Hooligans. |

Welcome STiGuy! So...how do you like your bike? (BTW...you'll need to invite the girls from your website for a photo op with our bikes!!!) I would just jump on 17 North, cross the JRB, stay on Mercury Blvd to 64W and then get off on the first exit (Magruder) take that until you dump back to 17N and HR-HD will be a few miles up on your right. Don't look for pleasure on a ride like that because once you hit the Pen it's all survival of the fittest! There are "0" fun roads between the bridge and the shop. |

Welcome Brett! Agree with Melvin, there is no "good" way to get to HRHD. Just watch your back on the Pen.(and +1 on the girls!) Mike, I get it...(finally) Plan-C is the new bike. Plan-D will be the dreaded wait for the trailer to show up. I catch on eventually. I'm out this weekend. Dragging the trailer to DC to pick up a Plan-C of my own ....
1990 DR250s dual sport w/5k mi I'll be on the hunt for good places to ride! (Message edited by Tank_Bueller on August 06, 2007) |

Welcome Brett! Alright... another Bueller on the Southside. Just so you know up front, the newest member must take the rest over to his house after the ride and washes all their bikes while feeding them beers and chips. Guys - I will be out this weekend to attend a wedding near Richmond. Van |

Tank Good looking plan C. Just remember playing in the dirt always ride with a friend. Brett welcome To All It's early in the week we can always do another Southside ride. Maybe the long way to Knott's Islnd Ferry and back through Ballahack and Indian Creek. It could get to another 100 mile ride just enough to build up a good appetite. If anyone is interested let m know. MIke |

Thanks for the welcome guys! I hear ya on the "no fun roads", I'm actually just trying to find the fun roads so that I can do them at less-than-fun speeds LOL. I have specifically less than 350mi of riding experience, so I just want to get used to it. So, we are doing Knott's Island and then beer and bewbies at my place? LOL It's funny, I've had pictures of that car show since the beginning of June and I still haven't put them up on my site. I gotta stop slacking. BTW I spotted an XB riding out of the storm in VA beach on 264 on Sunday. That wasn't any of you guys was it? |
