Is it in good working condition? Do you know if it has the throttle cable bracket for Buells or for Big Twins (they're different). |

Do you know what kind of jet-kit/needle is installed (if any)? Do you have spare jets/needles? Are the idle adjust and choke cables still attached? Can you email me an actual pic? (Message edited by twowheel253 on August 02, 2007) |

Threadjack: DJ, what do you need for the frame? Any numbers or VIN info or MFGR info on it for DMV/DOT purposes? Any guess on the age of it? Quality of build and welds? Or just some tubes welded together that you got in a swap somewhere? Just curious at this point (even though I still have that old tail light I'm looking to build a bike around). Thread-unjacked.... you are now returned to your previously scheduled bid fest. |

"Any numbers or VIN info or MFGR info on it for DMV/DOT purposes?" Nope... it's all been ground off and smoothed over. "Any guess on the age of it?" Early 70's most likely. It's for an iron XL, I was told by the guy who I got it from. "Quality of build and welds? Or just some tubes welded together that you got in a swap somewhere?" The welds are so-so and the frame looks straight, but it'll need reinforcing for modern power. The tubes are very small diameter and spindly... this frame could have been an early weld together kit from a bygone era. What's left of a springer front end is what's up front. The rest is lost to the ages. It's previous owner is in "the life", so there is no telling what provenance this frame may have. If I can't unload it for something, I'll build a bobber out of it... someday. I was eyeing an old CR500 and wondering if I could make a moto-bobber... that might be fun. |

Could be a fun project to play with. A 500cc engine would be fun in it. |
