I'm with Firstbatch, I like the Quick-Click system. I'll hold out for a set of those along with their Safari Bags |

Terry, Perhaps there is a way for the moderators to help on this point. I started the original thread after talking with Twisted Throttle. I have no affiliation with them, just want to get the brackets that provide the most flexibility and clean lines for our bikes. I was told we need 2-3 dozen parties interested in these brackets. Until we have a formal way to sign-up or capture interest, we will be guessing as to the level of interest. I am new to this site. Do you guys do group buys or anything like that. Many other boards seem to have a way to sign up for these and execute accordingly. -- Mark |

Mark, Blake runs the board and usually does not come over here. Pm him and see if there is some methodology. |

I'm interested in the quick release. I would commit. That's the reason I haven't put the hard bags on the bike because of the ugly racks when the bags are off. |

Ok we are making progress. Wouldn't everyone like a quick release system that allowed for choice of bags? |

I'm going with the Fehlings racks from two wheel touring and a pair of storm cases...a great set of hard bags for about $500. |

I would love to be able to mount the pelican cases on my buell brackets for off the beaten path rides. |

You can also count me in for a set of mounting brackets that can be easily removed. The ugly brackets are what's been holding me back from hard bags. |

got the H&B brackets on my City X. Welded in a solid plate to cover the gap, and hard mounted the Pelican cases to it. Pics coming this week. Looks like a lil mini beemer eater ;) |

Looking forward to the pics Cityxslicker. Will your mounts still support the HB cases also? |

Mark, You'd probably get some more commitments if you duplicated this thread at advrider in the "Beasts" forum. |

I am going to see if Erik will weigh in on the topic and express exactly what we need. I think it is a great idea to post over on Adv as well. I believe that the changes for the 2008 models are only going to accelerate sales of the Uly and hopefully make it worth it to the after market to bring some of these products to us. |

Got the Caribou Pelicans up on the bike finally. Off to make the BMWs and KTMs jealous. Used the H&B brackets for the lightning. (pity they were not available Buell direct)

Will the HB aluminum bags fit the stock HB frame for the Uly. I have the stock Buell bags on now but think I would prefer the top load metal bags. They do cost more. |

Those look pretty good can you give us a picture of the latch to compare with the stock bags? How would you compare the Givi's with the stock bags. It appears to be a very good alternative. |
