I ride pretty hard on hilly, curvy HWY's. Some track time. We have cool mornings and nights with damp streets, some hot days. What are people riding and why? The only tires I have run so far, are Pirelli Diablos. I'm almost through my second set and want to try something different... I think. |

Corsa III's they stick like glue, warm up real quickly, and are great in the wet. What more could you ask for? BTW, I had two sets of Diablos on before these and loved them, but the Corsa III's are even better all around. |

Corsa III have been very well received. Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs are excellent, in spite of a small matter of a recall, which has been straightened out. I am very happy with my Dunlop Qualifiers, which are completely different from earlier Dunnies. Cheaper than most, not so great on wear. Handle great. Choices, Choices. Luckily they are all good ones. |

i've had good luck with michelin pilot powers. great grip at low temp, fast warm-up. very stable at max lean angle, the carcass shape matches nicely to the xb geometry. members of our group have tried most of the major brands and all have settled with the pilot powers. we all ride hard enough to get chatter, squirm, and drifting from the bikes and so far the pilots have produced the best compromise. |

I also like the Pilot Powers. They stick like glue and I like the way the bike turns in with them. |

Bridgestone Battlax 021 . I too ride hilly curvey hwys and put on lot`s of miles . In 2 1/2 years I`ve done 36000kms (23000miles) and have gone through 4 rears and 3 fronts and the new 021`s are so far the best with almost 10000 kms (6000) miles and there `s still lot`s of tread . |

Pirelli has several tires in the diablo line: diablo strada sport touring/mileage Diablo: the current tire that comes stock on the XBs DIablo Corsa 3: Sportier tire Diablo Super Corsa: DOT race rubber used in superstock classes and of course the Diablo race slicks. I'm still using the original Diablo Corsa and plan on going to the corsa 3 when the corsas die. I love the way the corsas heat up quickly and stick to the road. They give me loads of confidence and that is much more valuable to me than getting a few more miles out of a pair of tires. If you go for sticky rubber consider finding a regional race in your area and buy your tires there. They have really fresh tires, and good prices. also they mount and balance them for free. |

Thanks everybody. I ordered Diablo Corsa III's today. If they work for WSB they'll work for me. I'll probably venture onto other brands later - for now, I'm sticking with Pirelli - the tire BMC puts on our bikes out of the gate. Ride HARD! Ride SAFE! |

I use Metzeler Sportec M1s. Metzeler is Pirelli's parent company... |

I was going to try the Pirelli Diablo T's the last time I went to the track. However the local stealership wanted $600 to replace both tires!! I went back to the BMW dealership where I got another set of Sportec M1s mounted and balanced for $100 less. |

The Diablo "T" is a proprietary model exclusive to Buell modified to Buell specs. You won't find it at a non-HD shop. The standard Diablo is a perfectly good alternative. The differences are tiny. The Diablo Supercorsas are available in super-soft, soft, and medium compounds FWIW. |

I'm a fan of the regular Pilot Powers, they've never done me wrong and I've have tortured them at several track days without incident and have been very happy with the street mileage, also. |

Just put my new Pirelli Diablos on my bike. Got over 6000 miles on the '07 stock tires (it was too much tho as got down to the core). Feel like I have a brand new bike now. Wanted to try the Corsa 3 but they were sold out due to Sturgis. Had the pilot powers on a different bike and they were great too. |

FYI: You CAN get the Diablo-T's at a non-Harley dealership. They sell them at Triumph dealerships too (they used 'em first... the "T" stands for "Triumph"). I haven't heard any GOOD things about the local Triumph dealer, and I've known the local BMW dealer for over twenty years, so it was a no-brainer for me. |

Thank you for that correction. I hope it helps someone find a good deal! I don't have a local Triumph dealer. |

So many tires, so little time. I know at California Superbike School you can get a real SWEET deal on a set of Dunlop Qualifiers mounted and balanced. I just don't know how familiar they are with performing this function on Buells and I know how sensitive the belts are to being manhandled during wheel removal/replacement. That, and of course, the fact that the front wheel axle is reverse-threaded... |

Yeah, I'd handle removing and re-installing the wheels myself if I were you. I tend to buy my Pirellis at the track and have always found great prices. Even more so when you figure in the free mount + balance. |
