I have a Penske Shock (long style) for sale. In very good condition with about 4,000 miles on it. Set-up for a 200 lb rider but easily adjusted for different weights. $700 firm (no trades) 303-702-1600 |

It is the 8100 series (single adjuster with 6 positions) Brand new it cost $895 from American Sport Bike. It will fit any tube frame Buell from 1995-2000 if you still have the long shock (pre-recall) It will fit newer bikes but you will need to get the older front mount. I am heading to Sturgis Monday so if you want it call me tomorrow Dan 303-702-1600 (Message edited by nemesis on August 02, 2007) |

Dan, I will take the shock. Before Firemanjim beats me to it. Or maybe he just covets the Honda 400A? ; ) You would have to send it via the US post office. I am in Alaska & fed-x or ups shipping here is very costly. Assuming that works for you, I will PM you some info. I am not going to worry about it before you get back from Sturgis. In the meantime, I will see what I can come up with for mailing prices to Anchorage from Denver. I have an old shock to weigh. Not sure I will be able to get you on the phone as I keep weird hours & the 3 hr time difference. |

T-beast, no, sorry. I will keep the Original WP shock off my '96 S1. Doubt anyone would want it in any case. Bike was in a shop fire before I got it in '99. The white spring is discolored & the bare metal parts, collars, nuts, etc, look corroded. There is a pic in my profile of the '96, but you can't really see that stuff. No recalls have ever been done on the '96. It's good though. : ) I do have another shock that someone gave me, also a white spring. I do not know what it came from, & it leaks. Seals? As I recall, the spring thickness is a larger diameter than on my S1. I do not think these old WP shocks can be serviced, or you can not get the parts to do so. I will have to find or check the dimensions on that shock again, maybe someone can tell me what it is. Haven't looked at in years. |
