The knobbies are only for dirtdays. Streetdays will be riden on Dunlop 207 ZR. Take your Buell and meet me on a race circuit. I think Jimmy Lewis (American Rider) took the big GS to a laudable top five finish in the Dakar rally a few years back? He did win a few stages, the ones where top speed gave him a big advantage over the KLR and Beemer singles. GS's won the Paris Dakar 4 times. If memory service me well..(Just an old f#C$er according to PPIA ) Last time BMW won is 3 years ago, they had places 1,2,3,4 and 5 (GS and 650). After that BMW quitted with the GS's and KTM took over full force and whipped out concurence. I.M.H.O., would BMW enter the PD with the GS next year, they surely would give KTM a good fight for the tittle. PPIA please correct me if I'm wrong, You followed the GS story longer then I have.
