What is the best way to store your gear after a hot day riding? So far I leave my helmet visor up, because of the fog, and subsequent spots. I have to turn my riding jacket inside out, so I won't put on a cold slimy jacket. Anyone got any other advice for me? Or is wet helmets and slimy gear something I need to get used to??  | ||

Best to keep them in a controlled atmosphere, A/C or Heat. I like to use a fan to speed up the drying process. This will require more care of your leather products. Joe | ||

I got a scorpion helmet and a nolan N102 flip up that both have a removable liner so I just throw them in the wash every couple months. Between washes I just deal with it  As far as jackets go, I got an Aerostich Roadcrater suit back in January. It's not really bad at all. If I sweat my arse off in it it'll usually dry completely within a 20 minute span of time. And it's machine washable! | ||

I have a Hanger made by Black+Grey that is made out of aluminum with plastic shoulders to heep the jacket open and it has optional clips to hold the pants and gloves. I keep them in a cool closet after they dry out. For my helmet I leave it out with the visor open until it dries and I then place it in a scorpion semi-hard case. | ||

Thanks guys, One more question, On my bike the vents in my jacket work great for my mid-section, my helmet is very cool, but my arms get no air flow at all. I have even made cuff as large as possible with the Velcro. The air just forces them closed over my gloves. The air needs an exit as well as an opening. The cyclegear description states adjustable airflow ventilation. Does it have zipper vents in the back and underarms like an Aerostich? If not, you're not going to get much airflow up the arms. I think you'd be cooler with a different jacket that has those features. | ||

Input Zippers are across the shoulders and exhaust in the back around the kidney area. No arm zippers, can you offer a brand that includes them? | ||

If your riding gear is made of leather always use a wooden coat hanger to hang them up vice metal/plastic or anything else. | ||

I figure I'll post here instead of starting a new similar thread: I've got a 2 pc. leather suit, what is the best way to store it? Laying flat? Hanging (on wooden hanger) zipped together? Separate? | ||

I just set up the new garage went to the depot and got some of the wire closet shelving to hang my gear up in the garage the wire shelving lets air get up into the helmet. I just leave the visor up and I went to the local shop and asked for some old jacket hangers they gave me 5 for free. |
