Buell is already starting to make up plans for next year's 25th Anniversary Homecoming, and they want ideas! So please, any gripes, complaints, or suggestions, please post here to let our company know what we want/don't want. I will be forwarding the info as well as emailing this link. Thanks! |

How about a date as soon as possible. Many badwebbers including myself need 6 months because of work to get the vacation time. (Message edited by hardcorps on August 01, 2007) |

The DATE HAS BEEN POSTED . . . . AGAIN . . . . it is July 2-6, 2008 You've obviously missed the thread where a couple people have already complained about the date.

Court I don't think you read that well. Nobody complained really. But then again reading it rather then hearing out of ones mouth you'd take it that way. It was merely pointing out that a gather during a Holiday can put a hamper on extra activity's. Especially when travel is inpart of taking part of that activity. I don't have that problem but some may. For instance.... Sorry Buddy Dad can't be around for the parade and light fireworks at night cause your Pop's is gonna hang out with his Bud's that ride Buell's in Wisconsin. They both kinda have alot of weight on them. Court did you tell your Boys that?? I can't!!! I'm here in Wisconsin so its not as difficult but it can be for some. Especially the ones with Family obligations. I'll be seeing about getting Erik again if possible. |

I liked the self guided factory tour, BUT... I want more. More info. I think it would be cool to be able to walk to each work station and be able to read a poster board that explains everything that is going on. Who is doing it. How long they have worked at Buell. What they ride.... Better yet. Stop production for a day and have each employee give a brief class on the above... They deserve a break and I would love to hear what they have to say Host Hotel is a great Idea or Hotels... 2 full laps around the track.... The Demo ride on the cart track was GREAT!! |

Yeah, like the 20th had ;) remember why H-D didn't want to have a 20th? They didn't feel 1983 was a valid year for Buell. Looks like you, dennis and I started something big ;) and here is where itall started 5 years go... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=4062&post=116858#POST116858 http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show.cgi?tpc=4062&post=117268#POST117268 (Message edited by spiderman on August 01, 2007) |

Big plans are underway. They started 8 months ago and Buell owners are playing a big role in helping. Cool beans. . . .now get that vacation request in. I think you're in for some surprises. Court |

Court, I may be alone in this but I would like to see a nice jacket for sale that commemorates the 25th year. Doesn't have to be leather but should be nice and in that 100-200 range. Maybe even personalized if ordered in advance. Maybe give a few away and sell the rest. It could be cool and unique to those that attend. If we got our act together badweb could sponsor a few for forum members in special recognition of community building activities etc. |

I'm thinking: a free bike for all attendees. Hooter or stripper bike wash sleep over at Erik's farm ( all 600+ of us) bike jousting a midnight trip to Willie G's house |

What Dave Gess said! I'd like my jacket to have a extra interior pockets for my "pill minder" (the only way I know what day of the week it is these days), reading glasses and a spare AARP card. OK? All clumsy attempts at wit (speaking of wit, anybody heard from Jim Witt lately?) aside, the jacket idea is a winner, and personalization might cut down on the eBay traffic after the event? YMMV (Message edited by doncasto on August 01, 2007) |

Luckily I have no problems running away for the holiday! My problem will be the 500 mile drive with the holiday traffic. I'll second (third? forth?) The host hotel! |

More Seminars. Terri and I missed Abe A.s seminar this year, and we both regret it. For that matter, have repeat seminars for the Space shots who missed it the first time, 'cause they were outside looking at all the neat Buells in the Parking Lot. If there's going to be a Host hotel, try and find one that has reasonable (cheap) rates. Some of us are not quite as solvent as others and need to squeeze the nickel a bit. |

IF ASRA/CCS has a race at Road America that weekend and that is what the plan is for the "race" end of it, I think Buell needs to try and secure a "Buell Racers Only" section of the paddock and set the Courtesy area up in the center of it. This way the racers, like myself, won't miss too much of the people and activities. Buellers can watch and even help with the race bikes. I know something like that was tried this year, but Buell contacted CCS too late (like the day before!) and nothing could be done. Just a thought. |

I'd like to see 25th anniversary patches, pins and stickers...in addition to a Jacket! I'd like for the jacket to have pockets for CE armor (even if it's not included) and be high enough quality to be real ride gear. |

I thought the last reunion could have used some organization. Although I must say I am grateful for all BMC put on for us. Foremost I think BMC should use it's greatest assets, the owners. Allow them to be on the homecomming committee, I'll volunteer. This thread is a great start! 1)Maybe a few group rides with dedicated group leaders, breaking out to various places. 2)There could have been more going on at the factory, I would like to see maybe maintenance workshops explaining different tricks and techniques for maintenance. There could have also been a class for riding tips and techniques.(this could all be concurrently happening) 3)I would like to see some vendors, or maybe a retail store set up for the event(with special buell owner discounts of course) 4)Camp ground reservations for those of us that have all our money tied up in our bikes. |
