It took 10 years but after being away for a few weeks, I went into the garage to ride the S1W to work this morning. Well I pull off the sheet and there they were...bubbles! Little f**kers all over the place. My perfect decals are no more. The right side is still perfect but the left side is toast. Every letter except the 'U'. Even the small 'American Motorcycles' letters were infiltrated my the tiny little bastards! |

Same thing happened to me this spring. My '96 S1 has been bubble-free until this year, now it's got more blisters than a sailor after a weekend liberty call in Bangkok. rt |

At least you didn't go to your S1 and see a strange Bidness card |

I feel your pain. My '98 S3, which has a "goodwill" replaced tank, developed huge bubbles about 3 years ago. But strangely enough, the '96 S1 is bubble free. Maybe the metallic paints are more susceptable than the solid colors? |

I've got a spare 'bubble-free' tank but it has a couple small paint chips. This might be the opportunity to paint and mount a small tank...with newer style decals, of course. Bidness? You mean monkey bidness? I guess you made it home OK, Spidey. I thought for sure that I'd run into ya after I saw MJ. |
