Are there any proven methods for removing light scratches from a black plastic air box cover?

Is there a good polish that really makes it shine too?

Thanks!

Other than ordering online, what national chains carry it?

Auto Zone carries the Plastx.

However, I have found the the new Eagle One Nano Wax, followed by Plexus is the only way to restore the shine to its original look, especially on the Black plastics. Also available at Autozone.

The Eagle One Nano wax was meant for metal, and it is great on all your chrome, aluminum and stainless too.

Real modern product.

I've purchased Novus plastic cleaner and scratch repair since posting this...it works very well. There are three parts, for deeper scratches, light scratches, and a polish for general good looks. I used the light scratch remover and the polish...it really gleams when your done. Just wipe on (consistency is like water), and buff off.

My boy used to do detailing at a dealership and after my Wife ran into my flatbottom boat with her car he gave me a bottle of (Liquid Luster). It is pink and in a 16 oz. bottle. (Ultra high gloss) (non abrasive, carnuba formula, auto wax) This stuff got the green paint from my flat bottom off the wifes' red car and removed the scratches and you could not tell it was hit. All I can say is it worked for me.
