I saw two Buells near KC today. I saw a black lightning on my way out of the corner cafe near on 152 near I35. I walked from the Holiday Inn nearby, so my Uly wasn't there. I saw a white firebolt at a pharmacy next to a walmart. I just rode over to Kansas and wandered around so I could say I've been there on my bike. I don't really know where I was. Either of those bikes belong to someone here? Does anybody know any good roads to play around on near the NE corner of KC if I get another day off? |

Mattwhite: set your sights on Weston, Missouri. Avoid the black lines and follow the gray lines on the map. Can't go wrong. Swing across to the Northwest side, back into Kansas and hit highway 5 into Leavenworth. I live in the Parkville area and would join you if you are in the area in the early to mid afternoon. |

Thanks for the advice. It doesn't look like I'll get much time off for a while, but I'll try those out when I can |

I ran an ad in the Tulsa paper for my X1W while the Bikerboyz thing was in town. Only call I got was from a guy who wanted $100 to introduce me to someone who wants to buy one. Yeah right. So I will have to see about catching a ride to Tulsa and ride it home. Anybody going to Tulsa, I will pay for some gas and tolls on I-44. |

Dave, There was also mention of meeting for breakfast before meeting everyone at 0900 for anyone who swings that way. I'm as much about the food as I am the riding. |

Shazam, got your phone message, thanks for the call. I am not sure, but I think I have a buyer with cash in hand that will be looking at the bike this evening after work. Waiting on a phone call. Anyway, I might come make the run on the FXR, see what momma has in the plans that day. I rode over to Lawrence yesterday, my 55th Birthday, ate at Slow Ride Saloon and went to the titty bar up the street and got a lapdance and the girls spanked me. Fun, then rode back to KC. As birthdays go, could have been worse. |

My bike is at work. I still haven't done anything with it.... It has a good battery in it now, but I don't want to burn it up. I does run fine, but I'm not really comfortable riding it. |

Well I managed to pull myself away from work and we left at noon. Got to KC and met up with Sam and Matt at 5:30 Just had some of the best BBQ I have ever had at Oklahoma Joe's. Looking forward to riding tomorrow! The trip was not without incident. Leaving Des Moines I began to notice my bike making strange, exhaust leak type noises. We hit the MO border, I noticed a crack in my rear exhaust pipe that was growing by the mile. We stopped just inside MO to put our helmets on and I had to rip the end 2 feet of my pipe off. Well I guess it just didn't want long pipes anymore? Kind of Jesse James looking, huh? The group at the BBQ feed My slab of ribs! all that was left when I was done

lookin good there you guys! sorry i couldn't make it on the ride this morning, got about a mile down the road and my bike felt like it broke the throttle cable. turns out the shaft holding the butterfly valve broke in half...yikes. maybe that explains why my bike has been running crappy lately. hopefully this will be covered under warranty?? |

Too bad you couldn't make it Duff. Here are some pics from the ride. Kandie The group after lunch. Strange place, a Mexican restaurant made out of a house? Lowflyer especially enjoyed his chicken Kandie, on the ride back to KC Sam, Scott and Lee lead us to the Ross Archery factory, thanks to Lee's GPS Kandie was ready to start grillin Then the 4 of us(Scott took off) rode thru the slum district on a search for a Latte for Kandie We finally ended up at the "Plaza" at Latte Land. Kandie made a new friend, big shock. Don't worry Bobbie, that dog is not coming home with us Lee, enjoying his Farppe,Latte, frozen thing Me, by the good luck pig?
