Why is it my old lady gets mad when I wash air filters in the kitchen sink? I do it so often, she should be used to it. Dang! Shoulda just went to Mid-Ohio. |

I'll tell you, I always knew where to find our baking sheets. In the garage, coated with oil from the last oil change. Would have made very interesting-flavored chocolate chip cookies. My dad never understood what the big deal was either. |

Nice thing about working graveyard shift, I do that stuff during the day when my wife is at work. What she doesn't know won't hurt me... |

I paint and detail a lot of little stuff, I mostly use engine enamel. From what I found out in the years of doing this is that the oven preheated too 250 degrees will bake and dry paint nicely. The draw back is that the smell is a DEAD givaway, I get busted every time, hahahahaaa! |

Glad I'm not alone. I also use the oven to bake some parts. One time I heated a helmet up only to have it warp and totally stink the house up. Boy, learned the hard way that 175 is too hot. Bought a new oven with a warming temp of 125. Works like a charm. |

You guys should try using the dishwashing machine! I clean engine parts in mine, with a little extra "cascade detergent" the aluminum parts come out like brand new. Never had any residue or evidence that the wife could detect, but then again my machine has an "extended rinse" cycle option. I highly reccomend it! |

Dishwashers are great for cleaning Helmets. They get all the old oil and dirt out of the lining. Just make sure you take off any small parts first. |

might be more forgiving if you did'nt call her your old lady. She actually approached me with, " So, would you like it if I were your old lady?" She's a biker from times gone by. I know its not PC but she does'nt care. |

That's why I love bachelorhood. Kitchen appliances and utensils are supposed to be dual purpose. It's not our fault they don't know this because they only get half the picture. I did however have a girlfriend once that thought I was weird because I sometimes take my golf clubs into the shower with me. What?! I'm just multi-tasking. P.S.: Thanks for the helmet dish-washer tip. The only problem is I don't have one in my rathole across the street from campus. I'll be sure and try that out the next time I'm visiting my mom's house. |
