So I have finally gotten around to post some photos of my trip to Glacier National Park in Montana. The bike performed excellent, even though the temps rarely dropped below 100. I have an ambient temp sensor on the bike that measures the bubble I ride in. The highest I recorded was 126 degrees. That was just outside of Spokane in traffic. Warm... Very warm... The photos/videos are clickable to enlarge, or to play. Enjoy.

Grumpy, The buses are restored/improved 1937 white tour buses. A few years ago they were really falling apart, they were going to retire the entire line. FoMoCo stepped up as a PR campaign to save them. Ford replaced the original powertrain/frame with an E-450 propane van chassis (similar to what is used on class C motorhomes). I guess this cost ford a HUGE bundle, but they got a tax break. I actually hired one last year for a private tour. I actually got the tour guide to leave the park with it, to head to Blackfeet tribal land to check out some automotive scrap art (well worth it). It was funny as hell to see the poor bus near its redline only going 60 on the highway. They have crazy low gearing. |

Corporatemonkey That's some mighty pretty country. Even if it did try to eat you. Glad you got back with the pic's. |

The bike really showed its quality genes on this trip. Even though it was damn hot, the bike never complained. Even when I had it lugging up the "going to sun highway" it ran just fine. I finally calculated the milage a little under 1500 miles in 3 days worth of riding. Anyone heard from Cityxslicker, he said he was heading that way, but I have heard from him. Just curious if he made it. |
