I got my M2 used, came with a Penske 8100, has the 6-position remote reservoir. There is a little screw on the shock body that I thought controlled the rebound damping. But the American Sport Bike site says these are reversed from the Penske manual for Buell applications (so I basically don't know what I'm doing at this point.) Firstly, am I understanding this correctly? Is the remote reservoir really the Rebound Adjustor? This would make the little screw on the shock body the Compression Adjustor? Anybody know what's the factory provided setting on the little screw in the shock body, as in how many turns out from bottoming? |

Well, this is the update, I called Penske and he did confirm the Buell is "backwards" from the manual, where the rebound adjustor is the knob on the remote reservoir, and the compression is the screw on the shock body. He said Compression screw in all the way is full, and 9 full turns out is the "Mid" setting, which is how they ship them out. Then it goes a further 9 full turns out is full soft. |
