Well I tired a u turn on a country road. I was oh so close but at the last minute a little surge and a miscommunication to my hands sent me a couple feet towards the ditch. I made sure my turn was at a farm lane so i was not going to crash or anything but man I am getting close to making the turns I want. I am half tempted to just break the rear wheel lose but I don't want a ticket for it. |

You really have to get your body over the outside of the turn in tight stuff like that. If you are short, this can be pretty intimidating. My thinking is that because of the limited steering lock, you have to really lean the bike and take full advantage of the differential radii of the tires. This isn't too hard to do in an empty parking lot, but for some reason, when you try to do it surrounded by ditches and broken Budweiser bottles, well, it just seems to get a lot harder. |

That's the fact jack! I was actually doing well till it sputtered a little and I didn't control the throttle and clutch well. I just need some more practice. (Message edited by Bertotti on July 27, 2007) |

Try slipping the clutch a little more and using a bit of back brake instead of just relying on throttle control. It's a lot easier to do if you can keep your revs a little higher. And don't be afraid to push the bike underneath you while you stay upright and weight the outside peg - that will reduce the amount you need to turn the bars, which will make your front less likely to wash out on your. |
