So I finally got to check out some Buells today! I couldn't ride yet, but the dealer is checking out whether I can ride if I have an out of state DL (insurance issues)...he says he can hook me up with a loaner helmet....and that hightops would prolly be okay... The thing that really struck me was how large all the bikes were. In photos and vids they always look very compact, but there was a definite feeling like the bikes were very large when I saw them in person. |

Y'know what's funny? The Firebolts were bashed unmercifully for their styling when they were introduced. Now they are beautiful. I am positive that's where most people will be with the 1125R 6 years from now. Not by me, but by those folks who couldn't think out of the box. But what do I know about it...I am but a "troll". } |

Are you a troll on every thread? Will you report the exact cost to replace all the SAE fasteners with Metric?

Probably not far from the truth (I've always liked the Firebolts), but my recently acquired degree in Management and Entrepreneurship tells me you guys will want to be selling bikes this fall, not in 2012. |

I seem to remember this as well, especially with the R's fairing. But spend a little time with the bike and do a few walkarounds (this can be hard in a delaer's showroom). I'm actually still amazed at how small the bikes really are, considering the engine size, etc. |

Well, when I went to buy my first Buell, back in 97', I was originally going to buy a Thunderbolt. Well, I got there and sat on it and I coudn't stand flat-footed while in the saddle. The bike was just tall enough and the seat was just wide enough that I would have to lean the bike over and stand on one foot at stoplights. So I bought a Cyclone instead. I wasn't disappointed. |
