I would like the thank you for your insightful and timely posts. I think I can speak for all, but your posts are most anticipated as it is not only the bottom line on this great bike, but you also share some of the reasons why Buell did what it did. This is such an exciting time for both BMC and all of us loyal Buellers out here. THanks again. |

And thank you Fresno, this was a huge undertaking for a little company like Buell. We really wanted to do something great. |

We are so completely excited about what this means for Buell and for Erik. Few get to see the realization of their dreams during their lifetimes. Give everyone a big thumbs up from the most rabid fans on the planet! |

The 1125R will be a massive hit for Buell. "Built from the rider down." That philosophy, the new powerplant & innovative features will bring lots of crossover customers. I think that Buell will have a hard time keeping up with demand. I just think it is so cool that Buell and its employees care enough to chat on this forum with us. Like most on here, the more I hear, the more I want! |

I've met Erik three times, and each time he's taken the time to speak with me and answer my questions. Based on my experience, he's around here for sure. No question he cares about his customers. That's one of many reasons I ride a Buell. |

The 1125R will keep me in the Buell fold for a while. I have to see the S variant! |

thats one of those things that i find amazing ...i doubt i would ever get a chance to talk to the head of honda...im betting i would be blown off by one of their low level managers as just another doofass....buell is a enigma of a motor company...i hope they get everything that they have comming to them and more....sometimes hard work and persistance pay off. |

THANK YOU. You guys have really laying it all out on the table since the release of this bike and that speaks louder about how great of a company Buell is. Because I am willing to bet that The jap and italians would never be this close with its customers ever. |

So are the Anonymi like the Borg? Are they/is it Man, Woman, Machine? I always think of Anony as one omnipotent being (eventhought it/she/he is a bunch of different people) who can answer all of our questions, at its/hers/his discretion. Its more fun that way. I wish they had an avatar. They only appear to interact on "worthy" posts. Anyway, enough of how my crazy mind works and seriously, Anony folks, thanks for all the great info you have provided. --Sean |

It's extraordinary that we are able to communicate with BMC in this way. Could you see the same thing happening with any other motorcycle company ? Although the 1125R is not for me, I extend my congratulations to the Buell team and the admins for providing this facility |

If you think that this is good, you should go to the homecoming. You can sit down and talk directly with erik, his engineers, employees on the line, front office staff etc. they love it. they are so excited about the products they assemble and ship to the customer. they love to see and hear back from the owners. You should see the east troy employees at the homecoming. when a bike pulls up that may something special done to it, or an older model, I see them running out there looking over the bikes like christmas morning. nothing escapes them that is different, since they build them and design them daily. It is really a good feeling to know how they are built, and who builds our bikes. I like it. rex |

Hell, we had Erik join us for a Bueller bar-b-q- that one year during Bike Week at Nick's house. Can you imagine the head of Honda riding out to someone's home and eating Q with the guys? I am totally amazed that he took time from his very busy schedule to have met with us. For those of you that missed it, it was quite an event. |

While dealing with a tire issue last year, a big wig from Pirelli tried a "would you call East Troy directly if you had a problem with your Buell?" My response to him was "You damn right I would if I wasn't getting any where with my local dealer." Maybe if we had something other than a Buell his argument would have held water. He just picked the wrong company to try this tactic with. It is nice knowing that Anonymous postings are from BMC, Erik included. This tells me that they are interested in what we as their customers are doing and what our concerns and interest are. |

I find it very comforting that "Anony" posts here. Knowing who the "Anonys" are, elevates my trust in Buell to a high degree. The fact that they post here proves that they care about their product, and want to help the people that own the bikes. I've heard it said that an organization will take on the personality of the person that leads it. I believe Buell embodies this theory, and anyone that has met Erik Buell will agree with me I'm sure. |

"Erik has admitted that he has posted here as an anonymous." I'm thinking the irritable anony is Erik. I was an anony once and wasn't outed, but it had more to do with the subject matter than abuse of the anony privilege. |

This would be a great thread to let drop and go concentrate on the others. There are, I presume, a host of anonyposters and I'm comfortable with the fact that Blake is vetting them. I don't want to be part of anyone getting their nuts crushed by a corporate raider. Ask questions, get answers. . . it's a great world. |

I wanted to personally thank everyone at BMC and all others involved in the 1125r. The more I read about it the more I believe it is the most brilliant motorcycle I have ever seen. THANK YOU ANNON & EVERYONE ELSE INVOLVED! Ken |

A thank you to the anonymi for their openness and for the additional details, not yet in the general press, that they have provided through BadWeB? How's this - deposit put down 7/23 for a 1125r at Kutter H-D, Janesville, WI. My first H-D or Buell. |

I have to agree with Court on this one. Let's let those who wish to be Anons...*remain* anons. They know who they are...thanks, all ;) Who said we wanted identities? All we want to do is give them props for the straightforward expertise they add. We would have MUCH more speculation and controversy if the anonys didn't clear the air.... |

My point is...let's not draw attention to them. Let them do their thing and go back to the shadows, before the corporate lawyers get wind of what they're (whoever "they" are...) doing. We need to stop putting them in the context of being BMC employees...or one day we're going to stop seeing them on here. If they didn't think we were grateful, they probably wouldn't post for us to read. Or maybe they would...rabid believers and all |

DJkaplan sez: "Erik has admitted that he has posted here as an anonymous." I'm thinking the irritable anony is Erik. I was an anony once and wasn't outed, but it had more to do with the subject matter than abuse of the anony privilege. Erik is the irritable one? Damned, dj, that is a terrible insult! The derisive and degrading personal attacks on Buell owners that "the irritable one" comes off with doesn't sound anything like the Erik I have met or read about. After all, it was Erik who said in the '07 Winter FUELL, when talking about the new Super TT model, "Everyone who rides it comes back with a huge grin So I think we succeeded. Do you agree? Let us know. We want our readers to think of Fuell as a two-way communication device. In fact, we've included several new (or improved) sections, where we'll need your input. These include Back Talk, Ask Abe (a technical forum), and Streetfighters." Then on the next page in back talk, Matt King, Editor of FUELL, fleshes out Erik's directives with, "WELCOME" and continues, "Readers are an integral part of the new FUELL. Whether it's praise, criticism, or anything else you want to share with other Buell owners, we want to hear what you say about the magazine, your bikes, events, racing, trips, or just motorcycling in general." This (and his philosophy expressed during my numerous conversations with the him) is so contrary to what the "irritable" one and his cadre are doing and saying on here, that I cannot imagine that it is Erik. Or for that matter, that it is even an authorized representative of the Buell Company. I suspect that Erik isn't even aware (yet) that this stuff is going on in his name. It could be one of them non-Buell reps Blake sez that he has let post as an Anony, who is an impostor, or maybe a troll, just trying to make Buell look bad. But I agree with Court, we should not be vetting (good word) them out. That is a job better left to Erik himself...I think he can handle it. jimidan |
