I've been watching this one, waiting for the links as well. I took a look at Sween's web site, and it looks like there might be some potential bandwidth issues. (12 sec for 1.39MB). Compound that with a bunch of 1125R freaks and you've got network gridlock. [not criticising, just an observation] Is it possible to post these on youtube or putfile.com? Wherever you decide to host, thanks for sharing Tom! The same ol' 1125R content has got me itch'n for another hit! |

Okay, yes the site I'm on has bandwidth issues, but if you just download the file you can play to your hearts content http://www.mbsween.com/buell/laguna1125R.html have a look. I've only watched the first movie, its pretty good. Matt On a traffic free day it took 3 minutes for the 9MB movies and about 10minutes for the 30 meg ones. Hopefully someone with more bandwidth shows up but at least they're available (Message edited by mbsween on July 24, 2007) |

Those videos are great... The cutaway bike is a really nice touch i might add. The new exhaust is growing on me and looks quite mean inside. Thanks Paintball Tommy for the great "consumer" video I think they are the nicest set of videos on this bike yet!... and Thanks MBsween for hosting. |

Okay so I am fairly set on buying the Uly but now the 1125 is putting a little bit of doubt into my head... I know they are different types of bikes but what do you guys think? |

They are so totally different kinds of bikes that I recommend getting both If it has to be one or the other then you gotta ask yourself what kind of riding do you do. Do you ever ride off asphalt? Does an aerodynamic fairing appeal to you? Do you feel more comfortable sitting straight upright or do you prefer to be leaned forward? Make a list of every little thing you can think of. I'm sure it will become a bit clearer which bike is the better bike for your intended use & needs. On Edit: If I had the dough it would be a very easy choice for me due to two factors. 1. I very rarely ever go off asphalt and when I do it's a fairly managable gravel road. Handled easily enough on my 12Scg. 2. I'm a short little bugger So I would be 1125R all the way and I would dream about the Uly in my sleep (Message edited by metalstorm on July 26, 2007) |

Lol, thanks for your thoughts. I will most likely get the Uly because like you said, it fits my riding more right now. I am normally a sport bike guy but I have been wanting to do some traveling and the Uly will be better for commuting. I wonder how comfortable the 1125 will be though. If I spent any more than 30 minutes on my my old CBR 600 F3, my butt would start to hurt. |

He doesnt rev it past 8 or 9 when they are showing the tach but he for sure bounces it off of the rev limiter a few times a lil later in the vid when the camera is pointed at the exhaust. Sounds like a very smooth well tuned engine, didnt hear any stumbles or misfires typical of our beloved lumps. Way way to quiet tho, the loudest sound it emits is a whistle. But that, my friends, will be an easy problem to solve im sure! |
