A quick shout out to Al Lighton of American Sport Bike. Took a ride up to the shop to pick up some axle sliders. Al spent over an hour with me talking Buells. Even reset my tps. A truly good guy! Thanx Al |

It's not true--Al is a pusher, always whispering" Look what I have here, you NEED this!!" A bad, bad man. And I imagine it will only get worse now with the 1125r--- |

It's important to understand where Al is coming from. He was with Big Business and he and Joann decided to go independent. It is a huge and scary step. In doing so, they decided that customer is #1, and it is not a mere slogan, it is a way of life for them. And we are better off as consumers as a result. This is not as rare as you would think in the Buell community. Most of our sponsors operate from a vantage point of passion for Buell an Buell owners. And that's not taking anything away from Al and Joann in their efforts to feed our addiction. Al also keeps breathing life in a rag tag band of So Cal Buellers group (SCAB). It's fun to go to the meetings and do the local rides. Good on them. And I wish them tons of success in their business adventure, because they deserve it. Asbjorn |

Doerman, Your real name is Asbjorn? That's funny, I used to work with a guy named Asbjorn. I think he was Swedish. Pete |

Well Pete Ogilvie, you fingered me. Having done so, you know very well that calling a Norwegian a Swede is akin to sacrilege. We've had that discussion before. Are you having fun on the S3? Since you have offended me like this I demand that you come out to LA and ride with me and after I've whopped your behind in the canyons, you will be served a cool malted beverage. Cheers Asbjorn (Message edited by doerman on July 18, 2007) |

If I ever make it out to the west coast, American Sport Bike is the first place I'd go. After that, I'd go do the boring stuff. |

Well, I live in the wilds of Western Australia nearly 1000 miles from the nearest useless Buell dealer. No knowledge, no help and no care taken. Al. on the other hand is great. He has the stuff, and sends it promptly. I receive it in a week, which is brilliant for up here. Al, you're a star. Ken |

That's a very accurate statement and, by the way, Al "goes global". If you think Al is good, wait to you deal with Joanne, the BRAINS of the outfit! Court |

Thanks all. We try to make it easy for ya. We screw up every now and then. A mispack here, a wrongly transcribed part onto an invoice there, etc. It happens, and when it does, both Joanne and I take it personal and let it get to us more than we should. "Thank you's" like you've given here make it easier to remember that most folks are satisfied with the services we provide. Al |

AL and Joanne rock! they are a vital part of the Buell community, and they along with several other sponsors here set the bar very high in customer service. We need to find a way to make their commitment to us as Buell customers contagious, then spread it around to some of the Buell dealers that are somewhat less than enthusiastic about the brand and us square pegs that don't fit the H-D mainstream way of thinking and chrome addiction. |
