Wow Doug, that was uncalled for. Not that I care what you think, but I was simply making a light-hearted joke about how to really make that thing haul. The frame looks like it would accept the twin, and if one were to stuff an XB12 engine in that said frame, the bike would haul some serious a$$ and therefore correct his problem of needing to go faster. Relax bro! As for my cookie cutter, well, I never said that it wasn't. As a matter of fact if you look at my posting of my bike under "cool buell photos," you will notice that I said, "Nothing too fancy. Just a less-cluttered, more refined looking Lightning." You'll notice I said Nothing too Fancy and Just another. Hey, at least it's not another GSXR, talk about cookie cutter. Oh, I'm quite happy with my cookie cutter, it allows me to enjoy my other toys.    Thanks for the back up Samiam! | ||

Whoa. No kidding. What did anyone do to un-cork the bushpilot? Nice toys Cgocifer. As for my "cookie-cutter", after learning to ride "better", er ah I mean "different" I decided I would have been happier with a Firebolt instead of a Lightning. So, based on a few other folks on the forum (and in Buell-World) I am converting mine into a Lightning-bolt. I am putting the Firebolt front end on the lightning. Stay tuned for the before and after pic's. Ride safe everyone and have a great holiday weekend. Remember all those who sacrificed everything so we could enjoy our "toys" cookie-cutter or not. I would wind that blast chopper up and terrorize the town. Push the displacement up to 602cc, bigger carb, drop 10-15 lbs off of the bike in heavy wheels. Go on a diet...(power to weight ratio includes the rider) <i> and really light a fire, spool up a turbo with a can of NOS. Or ride it like it is and enjoy the hell out of it. Rhohmann: That's a cool sporty! BE PROUD. I don't have any good pics of my bike since it got it's new suspension, but I'm going to try to get some tomorrow at my local H-D/Buell dealership during their bike show etc... I'll probably have the only Buell there aside from the Uly on the sales floor. | ||
