Curious, I am installing new Denso Iridium plugs in my '04 Firebolt 12 in the coming weekend, and was curious if upgrading plug wires really would make any difference as well...? If so, does anyone have any knowledge of what would be a good wire to use, and where to get them? I have the Race kit installed as well, if it matters... Thanks in advance! |

Also, you can do the plugs with an extension and a universal if I remember reading correctly somewhere right? Does anyone have any tips or tricks for installation of new plugs? I have the manual, but there always seems to be a much easier way! |

get an extension and 5/8 wobble head socket, trust me that rear cylinder can be a pain. Be very very careful not to cross thread the rear plug. its not a hard job i just want to warn you. i would def. recomend the spark plug wire update. my bike started acting like a carbed bike when it was cold. constantly giving itthrottle to keep it going. replaced with new wires and she's all good. ( if you have never done this you will need to take off the seat, the left side scoop, airbox cover and maybe inner airbox cover) anyway good luck, its not as hard as it sounds and doont forget the anti sieze |

Use a bit of fuel line or other rubber hose as an extension when threading the rear plug to get it started. Really does the trick as you can't get your fingers in there easily and starting it with a wrench & extension can crossthread... |
