Well the guy that taught me to ride dirt bikes always said that there are two kinds of riders......"those that have been down", and "those that are going down". I have for many years fit the first category but always in the dirt. This was my first taste of pavement. We were quite glad they weren't our bikes, I was finally on a TT, and Wolf was on a City_X. sorry Buell demo guys. |

Nah, I don't think Utennuly is the fella I'm talking about, at least based on his profile picture. Besides, this person wasn't involved in the accident. I think he was right behind the fourth bike. One heck of a rider for a big guy |

Crashing must be an Uly thing. Some sort of right of passage? What you talking about Willis? I think I still have distance. It hurts to look at the pictures. I am glad you guys made it back okay. |

Etennuly... got your email but I am having picture posting problems. Your ankles look sexy!! I wish we had a slow mo vid of that get off. I would like to see how hi I bounced and how you messed up you ankles. Does anybody know the lead rider and how he is doing? |

I sent the file to Jimduncan69 also, mebby he can get it up.......Sorry, you're injured. I was able to see part of your get off, it was ugly from my angle. That is likely the main cause of my being over come by gravitational forces after exceeding maximum centrifugal and tractional forces in an effort to miss the mess....I momentarily took my eye off the prize. Good news is I'm healing up pretty fast. As long as I don't forget about things and move too fast, cough, sneeze, burp, hiccough, stand, bend, or sit too fast. I'm able to walk OK, which is kind of amazing for all of the swelling and color mapping down there. The lead rider sat and talked with me while you guys were out walking around. He has twenty years on you and thirty on me. He high sided into the grass. He just had a small cut on his elbow and said he was fine other wise. Ahhh to be young again(and land in the grass). Oh well, back to work. |

OMG, why the feet? I still can't get over the fact that while Vern was still on the ground, he was getting his camera out for someone to take pictures! Hey, I like sitting on the back seat of the Uly when I ride. It's perfect for me. Riding on that track was awesome! The Lightning Long was ok for me, but I felt like a giant on that CityX. |

Why the Feet? Heck I don't know, I must have smacked them on the pavement while I was doing the horizontal crash dance. Over the years I have seen and done so many things that have had some sort of spectacular happening and no one took pictures. Now that I'm getting older I cannot go back and "stage" an unbelievable event. Gene, the funniest thing that I had seen all weekend was our verbal testing of that cute "cheese eater" in the hotel lobby. I nearly busted a gut holding back what we nearly said, but thankfully didn't. I laughed about that all of the way home. |

I agree that the bikes needed to be adjusted for us heaver riders, but the lightning I was on handled the ride through the grass fairly well, #4 in pack. Crashing is not a ULY thing. Mine, so far, thankfully, hasn't seen the wrong side of the ground. I am glad that all survived the "test race, I mean ride." Does anyone there remember the words, "this is a performance handling course, and not for racing?" I remembered it, but only after I came off the track. I hope that the leader of that ride gets to keep his job, w/o having to pay for all of the bikes that day. Vern, glad to hear that you made it home safely. Wolf, would like to see you out there pushing those thinner kids around a track. Mid-Ohio is too soon to miss because of newly acquired "battle scars." It was great to meet new friends and great people who believe in a great bike. |

Wolf, That looks frekin nasty! Does everything still stick to it?? I noticed you shaved around it. I'd almost trade it for the busted ribs though. Man, they were doing great at healing until yesterday, I sneezed twice and I was thinking "call 911"! Last night was very uncomfortable....again. "this is a performance handling course, and not for racing?" I wasn't racing, I was fourth in line and passed whom ever was third as we commenced the second lap(properly, and on the front straight). I was just catching up to Wolf and the leader as we Kaboshed. Buellshyter, I had a different jacket and looked 20 lbs lighter in my profile. |

Sorry to hear about your mishaps. Hope everyone heals quickly! I had an absolute blast (no pun intended) doing the Track Demos! I wondered why those other bikes were hiding behind the trailer later in the day..... Later, EV |

Lions; why are there pictures of a Ninja on this thread? Is Kawasaki giving Demo rides on a Race Track now? Or are you implying that it's better to crash on a Ninja? Or is it that you're excited to be going to Kawasaki's Homecoming, where the company is going to let you ride their bikes, give you free meals and a T-shirt, and let you speak to the people who conceived, designed and built your bike? |

yeah, but wouldn't it be even more brilliant on a Kawasaki board where others would be as into it as you are? Or do they not put up with completely unrelated posts in a thread on their boards? I guess I could post pics of my RV (that kicks ass on any bike when it comes to towing and sleeping arrangements) on a thread about tires or exhaust systems etc. Think they'd be thrilled I chimed in with that? Go away troll. |

It is a cute bike for sure, but if you are so proud of it, why not post it on the Kawa board??? |

Put it on the kaw board and it becomes just another bike lacking any character or uniqueness. But put it on the buell board instant fame. Anyone else notice the width of the chicken strips? hmmmmm. |

C'mon Crusty.....you know who I am!... What the heck ever happened to a sense of humor?? I love Buells, Hondas, Kawis, etc... Honestly, this is definitely the only site that has such resentment against other bikes! I honestly see the "water cooled" Buell in my stable in the future, but I'm not about to bash "jap" bikes after my purchase. You all just need to calm the frik down and learn to appreciate other things in life that you personally don't have! This was actually done for my nephew that's doing a paper on "Internet Loyalty & Anger Issues" at Stonybrook University. I also posted positive pics and things about my Les Pauls on a Fender site. Eeegads, you've gotta see the reaction on that one!..... Chill out people...Life is waaay too short to bash others appreciation of things not to your liking! ....I'm not even gonna go into the Mac vs. PC issues I've gathered for him on different sites! LOL |
