"IMS will offer unique experiences for your motorcycle club. Call today to reserve your tickets. You and your club will receive free VIP parking, a parade lap around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and a free gift for each member. Call today to reserve your spot for your motorcycle club." Anyone want to temporarily create a "motorcycle club" for the purpose of going to Moto-GP Indy? |

"Anyone want to temporarily create a "motorcycle club" for the purpose of going to Moto-GP Indy?" Plenty of existing clubs listed in the Storm Fronts topic here and in the owner's section of www.Buell.com. Would be very cool to consolidate all the Buells for the parade lap. The Ducati club of North America will likely be showing up in force. It may not be out of the question for Buell to help organize a similar convergence. If that is not in the cards, then possibly we can figure something out. |

Turn one runoff (I read somewhere) is supposed to be on the order of 800ft. To meet MotoGP safety requirements. Remember, that's a really big place, so scale may be a little difficult to grasp.. The course is 2.6 miles from brick to brick. |

Oh and if we're going to do something.. then we'd better do it soon.. After all, I've got my 'application' for tickets in already.. but would love to have VIP 'Club' status and a parade lap (and free gift).. |

It probably would not be wise to wait until the last minute. An informal international Buell club might be a cool thing. If nothing else we could set it up so we can show the Pegasus flag at Moto-GP Indy, and get good seats for everyone. Trust me folks, if you want to come to Indy for a race, any race, make up your mind way in advance and get your tickets, reserve your hotel rooms, etc. Prices more than double for motel/hotel rooms on race weekend. |

I'm in. Make plans for a group. This is great for all the midwesterners that could never make a trip to California or Europe. |

Would be very cool to consolidate all the Buells for the parade lap. ...that would be WAY cool...meet a whole new bunch of Buellers, then all do a parade lap or two together |

Anyone in Indy willing to put up a couple of badwebbers for the weekend of the race? My son and I want to go, but I'm a cheapskate, and I would like to hook up with other Buell riders too |

I read that unlike Laguna Seca, where I'm heading this weekend BTW, they'll be running the 125's and 250's too. Should be a great show. |

I'll be there, but I'll likely be on the Beemer, not the Buell. The BMW is so much more comfortable for an 800 mile trip with camping gear... |

Man, that sounds like a ton of fun. Maybe we can get a group together riding up from Atlanta. I know the 3%'ers are here plus many other buellers in the region. A parade lap also sounds like a blast. |

Anyone know what tickets cost? I couldn't find that info on the "Ticket Application" stuff that the site has set up. I am really wanting to go, but if it costs me my firstborn, I may just have to wait another year. |

Apply for the tickets. You'll get the pricing display on that page. If you decide not to buy, don't submit the application. |

Someone made a good suggestion to me, and I'm thinking we should hold off a little bit on the "club" thing. Looks like tickets are going for $75 to $150. |

I filled out the online app. and put my deposit down. In the request box I did say I was a member of Badweb. Is there going to be a Buell tent? |

I'm plan on going. I think it'll out draw Laguna. We reserved seats in SW Vista. I sat there once, for the 500. Johnny Rutherford won. (Message edited by Rich on July 22, 2007) |

Blublak, You're right about the turn 1 run off. Turn 5 looks a lot more dicey to me. The official length of the oval is 2.5 miles. Anyone who thinks they want tickets at the finish line; there's this big old "pagoda" thing that blocks a substantial portion of your track view. G. |

The Southeast or Northwest vistas are both pretty good. You can see lots of the corners and both have a huge video screens so you can "see what you can't see". I like to be about halfway up in the stands, you're farther away but you can see over the fence. I don't know if Indy will have it for MotoGP but, at Laguna Seca, I always take a small radio and ear buds to listen track broadcasts. G. |
