I don’t know.... I got some email from Buell, maybe because I recently bought my 06 Buell in sept and gave them my email address. It says it’s at Carbones Bar 214 Lighthouse Ave Monterey, CA 93940 I was figuring everyone got the email?? please tell me everyone got it | ||

G-DANG you Erik & yer team of "elves"!!!!! You have created a masterpiece of love/lust/desire for me & NOW I have to figure out how to make room in my garage (Momma said yes) which means I have to get rid of an X1 and an M2! All of this before I've even seen the bike in person!!! I had an "inside source" tell me that a water cooled bike was coming, but I was plannin on 2 years, not THIS year! You have completely blown my financing/scheming timetable! And then to top it all off, I get the invite, but can't attend. Someone either needs to shoot me now or just give me a 1125r to "play with"! | ||

Jeremey, I know it sounds stupid, but it may help to have someone else with an Arai walk you through it. I had a bit of trepidation the first couple changes as the helmet is so friggin expensive and the shield on my Bell was easier to change. Come to think of it the Bell made worse noises than the Arai. I change the shield daily now and haven't had an issue, I've had the helmet for just about 5 years now. I did pop the side pod off once, but it went right back on. Customer service is excellent, they still send parts for my old lid as they wear out 9breath guard and chin vent) just my 0.002 | ||

Anyone know the chances of getting in for this event? I wasn't able to send in my RSVP until tonight since I was on temporary duty (USAF) down in Mississippi for the last week. I received a response back saying that the official guest list is closed but they will allow people on a space available basis to Buell owners. I would hate to drive there just to stand outside and look in the door/window at it and not enjoy all the festivities the event would have to offer. Anyone help me out on this one? | ||

Paintballtommy, Give Carbones a call, see if they have a policy that would keep you out. If they have a separate place to eat, you might be able to get in. If Carbones says you can get in, you might not be able to get into the bar area but you owe it to yourself to check it out. Be a real shame to miss it - give them a call! | ||

Paintballtommy, Bummer - I got bored today and called Carbones (had other questions) - but when I asked about a 20 year old, he told me that they are NOT allowed to have any under-21 aged people. He really apologized, sounds like a BUNCH of people are asking about bringing their kids and younger friends. He said the CA alcohol control folks are forcing them to have a bouncer there getting a visual check on EVERY ID for EVERY person coming in. I told him that gee, it'd be just like high school, waiting for a drink in the parking lot - THAT got a serious laugh from him. Sound like nice folks. He wanted me to make sure I apologized on behalf of him and Carbones and you'd be welcomed next year! Sorry about that. |
