I noticed that the shift lever has no linkage... How do we convert it to GP shift (or does it come that way from the factory?)?

Thanks in advance.

You will need to convert it to linkage if you want it reversed. There is a boss for that on the footpeg mount. We chose to not use linkage on the standard setup to avoid wear points and slop for most people.

Ahhh. THAT's what that boss is for!

Stellar idea. I just changed the plastic busings on my XB shift linkage and it made a huge improvement.

Having no linkage is optimal!

The more I look, the better it gets. And it looked pretty damn good from the beginning.

Don't produce the "other river" until I pay off the 9sx.

Spatten, I am considering it as well. Shifitng gets considerably tight on warm afternoons--to a point where i have use some thigh to upshift at times. Did you replace the black bushings that are actually in shifter itself (where the bolt goes thru?)

That is correct. However, I did it to get rid of excess play, to tighten up the linkage.

Something sounds screwy with yours.

Does that imply that there will be a nice reversed-pattern shift kit from the factory soon so we won't have to wait for an expensive version from the aftermarket?
