Pj1, Nice bike. Watch for leaks on the face gasket on the front of the muffler. If I ever get my M2 back home I'll be modifying my Wileyco to remedy the situation, probably with an internal sleeve or a few extra bolts. The orange paint mistake M2 is a show winner? It has a cool paint scheme on the bodywork and wheels. As for the rest... Do we really want to highlight the airbox, a stock airbox no less, with bright orange paint? Same for the rear hugger, the belt guard and the pulley guard. The cam cover isn't even cut down. Donn, you were friggin' robbed! If I had been judging, you would have won walking away. "You ride it too much." Right then and there, I would have fired it up into a gratuitous tire roasting burnout. If you have to get closer than six feet to notice notice a nick in the paint it ain't a flaw in my book. I guess I'm just not a strict "show bike" kinda guy. I'm certainly not a "paint all the hideous plastic bright orange" kinda guy. |

Ditto, Blake. That orange M2 is about the most hideous Buell I've seen in a while. Bad color, bad paint scheme, and wholly inappropriate use of chrome on a buell. Oh well, to each their own. Yuk. Al |

Well, it's obvious that the owner of the orange S1 doesn't ride it much--it ain't got a seat!! (maybe it's actually an improvement over the stock seat!) r-t |

No doubt!!!! what is that?? Orange water flowing over the bike or what?? I guess whoever owns the buell obviously payed off the judges to win. No wonder why the guy in the back ground is wearing glasses. The bike is just too much!! Sweet bike Donn!! |

Ummm, guys, take a reeeeal good look at that orange M2. There's a lot of attention to detail in that bike. Look at the forks! Look at the turn signals. Look at every single bit of Aluminium on that bike. The bike's more than just some orange paint and although I'm not a fan of orange, I recognize that he's done a lot of little things to that bike. Donn is a winner in my mind because his looks so sweet and he rides it; but, face facts. In a show, it's not about go. Vik |

As much as it pains me and dammn that orange bike is ugley, Vik is right. At a Harley Chrome show, Chrome wins everytime. They chrome plated everything. The bike owners were from the midwest, forget their names were very fun to hang with. A girl, was the owner. No major mods on the orange bike except for a pipe. IMHO it is not in the Buell mold, but I am not surprised since even at a Harley show, Judges do not truly understand what a Buell represents. |

Who cares about the chrome forks!!! Anyone can chrome plate there forks. It's the choice of paint and the paint scheme that was used. If I were to make that a "show bike" I know I and 80% of you wouldn't have choce that eye sore of a paint job and paint EVERYTHING else orange. Everyone has their own opinions. Roll-On |

I don't care for the ORANGE bike either but that's the way it goes. Donn has, IMNSHO, one of the nicest S1s I have ever seen. Love it. When did you put the single seat on it? The last pics I remember seeing had a two-up (twin-tail?)set up. Gott go dig in the archives...hehe. I absolutely dig the other orange S1 posted recently. Cafe all the way. |
